GUEST PREACHER – BRYCE WIEBE Bryce Wiebe serves as the Director of Special Offerings for the Presbyterian Church (USA). In this work, he seeks to connect Presbyterians to the impact of our shared mission and inspire their participation. Prior to this, he worked with the Presbyterian Hunger Program, providing resources and opportunities for Christians to consider the ways they spend money as an opportunity for Christian discipleship. Before coming to Louisville, Bryce served as Christian Educator at First Presbyterian Church in New Haven, Connecticut, where he wrote children’s plays, developed educational materials, created worship experiences, and led Bible studies that engaged issues of economic justice. Bryce holds an MDiv from Yale Divinity School and BA degrees in Music and Business Administration from Hastings College and he retains part-ownership of a small, sourdough bread bakery in Nebraska. When not working, you can find him in the kitchen or at the gym, where he explores God’s many forms of nourishment.

TWO CENTS A MEAL Today is the third Sunday of the month when we traditionally collect our Two Cents A Meal offering to address hunger needs in our local community. Warner's offering for June and July will go to the Capital Area Food Bank, which makes a special effort to feed kids in the summer when regular school meal programs are closed. Please consider helping us refill our virtual little red wagon so we can continue this important ministry in the months ahead. You may send a traditional check to Warner with Two Cents A Meal in the memo line, or you can give electronically to our Special Gift Fund and put "Two Cents A Meal" into the Notes. Thank You!
CALLING ALL WARNER WORK DAY WARRIORS Please come help spruce up our building and grounds this summer on Friday & Saturday July 30-31, and Friday & Saturday August 6-7, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. There will be painting and prep, fence removal, organizing and cleaning, and possibly some pruning. Come for a couple hours, a day, or more, as you are able - many hands make light work, and it is always more fun to work together. Please let us know when you are coming so we can plan appropriately and put your name in the pot for lunch by using signup genius or contacting Susan Kline at 301-774-9524. Hope to see you there! We also want to provide a simple but tasty lunch to all who participate and are asking folks to sign -up to help with providing food, set-up and clean-up. We have coordinators for each day who will be contacting anyone who signs up to help with the lunch- related activities using the separate Sign-up Genius we have established. We ask that folks arrive around 10:30AM for set-up or to drop off food. Lunch is planned for noon with clean-up proceeding afterwards. Please consider how you can help to support this effort. If you have any questions, please contact Sue Burns or the coordinator for the date(s) you may be able to help. Thanks in advance for your help!
SHEPHERD’S GARDEN On Saturday mornings 10:30-12:00, the harvest of the Shepherd’s Garden is made available to the community in exchange for a donation to Shepherd’s Table. This allows the cooks to buy what they need, when they need it, in addition to serving the harvest we bring. Come to the sanctuary patio to choose your vegetables & herbs and leave a donation. Come, see what’s growing and visit the garden anytime! Every Saturday 9:00-10:30, volunteers care for the garden; please join us. If you would like to know what is likely to be harvested that day, get on the weekly ST Harvest email distribution list. Send a message to [email protected].
