CASM Updates to Improve Usage

• Change access policy from “Hide” unless “Shared” to “Share” unless Hidden

• Open viewing of asset data to all users, nationwide, on March 1, 2017• Users currently have ability to limit view of individual assets to

organization(s)• Establish metrics database to track trends and changes in usage• Enable users to validate currency and accuracy of data by asset

• Enhancement planned for summer 2017• Encourages trust in data reliability

• Include SHARES data• Establish one-way CASM to GII/COP sharing interface:

• Increases exposure, broadens usage, and drives better maintenance of data

• Requirements from RCs and NCSWIC will help drive future updates

eNIFOG and eFOGs

• eNIFOG and eFOGs are produced by the use of the APPS Tool, which transforms Word document content into mobile app

• Off-line mobile access to FOG content• High resolution maps/tables may be incorporated• Keep personal notes next to content• Updates pushed out to users through app stores• Live phone and URL links• Apple or Android• DHS approved mobile apps

• Pending final legal language

• eFOGs being created through requested TIC-eFOG TA • KS State and KS City eFOGs in Build Phase

SAFECOM Nationwide SurveySAFECOM Nationwide Communications Baseline Assessment (NCBA):

• Goal: Conduct a nationwide baseline assessment of the current ecosystem of communications capabilities needed and in use by emergency response providers• Objectives:

o Address “Title XVIII – Emergency Communications” requirements:• Sec. 1803 (a) Baseline Assessment “…no less than every 5 years…”• Sec. 1803 (b) Progress Reports “…biennially submit to Congress”

o Develop an improved assessment framework that allows OEC to determine the available vs. needed communications capabilities

o Establish a consistent, repeatable, and effective baseline assessment process to help standardize OECs national planning lifecycle

o Obtain reportable data to inform OEC programs and services:• Identifies gaps where OEC can target resources via TA, SCIPs, SAFECOM Guidance,

etc• Helps establish agendas, and sets or re-confirms priorities• Defines capabilities central to helping stakeholders improve response capacity
