industry since 2002.

Mike works with a

variety of clients - from

the sedentary person to

the elite athlete.

He enjoys the benefits of

helping others strive

toward their goals.

Mike believes that if

someone has an

accomplishment in mind,

they should go for it. If

you try your best, you

can achieve anything.

Those that do, can!

Positive thinking can do

wonders for the mind

and body.

Four Heart-Healthy Foods You Should Be Eating!

8 weeks. Write down how you

are going to obtain that goal.

Perhaps by eating less takeout

meals or adding more

vegetables to your diet.

2) Treat yourself- After

achieving one of your goals,

whether it’s completing 15

push-ups, losing 5lbs or being

able to do 1 pull-up. Reward

yourself with something that

won’t undo your hard work: a

massage, a mani-pedi, a

weekend getaway, or some

new fitness gear.

3) Keep it interesting- If you

know you’ve been doing the

same routine for a month it’s

time to switch it up. Experiment

with trying a different fitness

class, adding new equipment to

your routine such as a medicine

ball, kettlebells and stability

balls. The more variety you

add, the more fun it will be

and you will not plateau.

4) Buy some new swag-

Consider investing in a new

pair of sneakers, a new

workout shirt, or the fitness

tracker you heard about.

Whatever will get you excited

about exercise.

5) Be forgiving- Once the

excitement of a new regimen

has worn off, it’s easy to leave

working-out out of your

routine. Slip-ups are okay,

everyone has them. Listen to

your body, review your goals

and ask yourself why you

started this, and don’t give up!

January is the busiest time of

year in the gym after indulging

over the holidays. However, it

will not be too long before

attendance in the gym starts to

decline. In February, most

people break their New Year’s

resolution.

Check these tips out to stay on

track:

1) Write it down and measure

it- “I want to lose weight” is a

very common goal for most.

Let’s try and be more specific,

maybe you want to lose 10lbs in

Nuts: Contains healthy amounts of fibre, vitamin E (which can lower cholesterol), & some are high in omega-3 fatty acids.
