Valour C.C. will be starting an indoor soccer program for the Boys and Girls that are going to be 9

years of age in 2011 for the summer season which starts in May. Valour's Soccer U9 to U18 Convenor will be running the indoor soccer league for the U8s that will be turning 9 in 2011.

Some exceptions will be made for younger boys and girls that show a higher skill level then their age group. We would like to train the kids to get

ready for the outdoor season and find proper coaches for the kids as it is a big transition to a big field and rules. So the league will run for 12 Saturdays from

6:10pm to 7:15pm; and 7:20pm to 8:30pm to accommodate all the teams. There will be 30 minutes of training and 30 minute games to start then progress to 1 hour

of practice and 1hour games. There is a $45 dollar fee for the league to cover trainers that will be helping out and training shirts for the kids. $10 goes towards the Community Centre rental of the gym and clean up etc ...

The Program will start December 4th and Registration will be at Valour C.C. as of November 15 ( Isaac Brock Site 715 Teller Street ) If you know of any other kids that are in the Valour

area who want to play soccer you can have their parents/guardians contact Bob at 775-3869.

Thank you Rui Goncalves

In our room we have been learning about Vikings.

Vikings put dead Vikings in ships and set them on fire.

Vikings eat meat, porridge, vegetables, fruits, desserts

and bread. Vikings drink water, blood, apple juice, herbal

drink and honey wine.

By Rochelle

The Vikings stole from Norway Sweden Denmark and

stole food from them.

The human ear has three little bones called the hammer,

the anvil and the stirrup.

By Angel

The Viking long ship is at least 1000 feet long. The Vi-

kings treat their ships like their own children.

By Emily B.

The Vikings use runes for the letters. And did you know

that they put it on a rock?

Sound!

Sound is created by stuff vibrating.

An echo is created by sound waves bouncing off things.

By MaKayla M.

I learned that the sound can bounce off walls and the high

notes vibrate faster and the lower the note

the slower it will vibrate.

By Emily M.

Vibration is a sound that you hear like talk, music, clap.

Vibrate also means that if you talk in the hallway it will bounce

then you can hear your own voice. A sound wave is a sound that

you hear like a echo - it bounces on the wall but you can’t see

the wave.

By Josh

Science: what I learned about sounds is that sound is made by

an object vibrating. An echo is made from sound waves bounc-

ing wall to wall.

By JC

To make sound waves you have to make something vibrate. Tun-

ing fork: you must hit the tuning fork on your shoe then it will

vibrate.
