Okay, it’s Valentine’s Day. Wait, what? You forgot? You say you have a significant other too? Well, well, well, look who needs my help. Today, we have last minute valentine’s gifts with your personal love guru, me, Greg. Now if you’ve got cash money to throw around then stop reading this, take a cab, buy some flowers and chocolate and you’re done. Awesome, good for you. You don’t have money? I have some tricks up my sleeve for you. First off, don’t underestimate the power of a solid walk through a park or a petting zoo. It says: I’m sensitive to your feelings and I also love nature and animals. Secondly, just some advice I’ve learned, never, EVER, give out coupons for a hug or cleaning, just never do it; it ends badly. Thirdly, if it’s homemade it’s from the heart, nothing says “I Love You” like a crudely drawn card made of construction paper and crayons. Finally, if you feel the need to be a romantic, an invitation for dinner at your place with candles and a single white rose is the way to go because red is too mainstream. If all else fails, Subway at the plaza is pretty sweet. Plus I think you can get them to spell out your lover’s name in red peppers or pickles. For all you single people out there, don’t fret, candy is on sale tomorrow. You never know what could happen on the one day of the year dedicated to love, but Valentine’s With Greg. Located on the second floor of the academic building, St. Jerome’s library offers quiet and warm atmosphere. The first level provides students with computer stations, individual study carrels and long tables for those big projects. Students can relax in a comfy lounge section. The second floor provides a perimeter of study carrels and a study room, which can be booked for those group projects or study sessions. Did I mention that SJU Library houses over 40,000 books and periodicals? We have the lowest price for printing on campus, 10 cents per page, which includes double sided printing.

Conrad Grebel Library

Located on the 3rd floor of the academic building, this library also serves as a Mennonite Historical Library and is home to the Mennonite Archives of Ontario. Apart from its extensive family history collection, students can find it an inviting and quite place to study. It is equipped with seven computers, copying, scanning, and printing services for 10 cents per printed page, and offers access to microform, video, and audio equipment.

Lusi Wong Library, Renison University

Renison’s library was named after Lusi Wong, a librarian and a graduate from the University of Waterloo who died of cancer in 2002. Located on the first floor of the academic building, students have access to two study

Helpful Tip: How to Concentration through the noise Maybe you need to drown out the jibber jabber in the SLC or SJU Atrium. Or perhaps you need to drown out those next-door studiers who are chatting to friends or are looking up Simpsons re-runs on YouTube. WHAT IS A STUDENT TO DO, especially when giving up that perfect spot is not an option? 1. Music (using earphones): this may

help to drown out the noise. Some soothing Bach or maybe an upbeat sum 41. This may not work for everyone. If not …

2. Ask them (politely) to take the phone call in the hall, lower their voice, or turn the volume down. Beware, you may be brought into a discussion and become even more distracted. The only thing is, not all of us have the guts to say "would you mind lowering the volume please?"

3. THE ULTIMATE-SUPER-GENEIOUS-SOLUTION: earplugs, which come in a variety of colors and materials. I would suggest foam or moldable

rooms along with over thirty individual study spaces. Also located in the library is the Florence Li Tim-Oi memorial reading room is a great space for rest and relaxation before your next class.

Dana Porter Library (DP)

Head across the creek and look for the big white sugar cube and you have found the library for arts, humanities, and social sciences. Among its 10 floors students can find an abundance of study carrels and computers, along with an Adaptive Technology Center, Flex Lab, Peter & Betty Sims Reading Room, the Doris Lewis Rare Book Room. Student can enjoy a beverage, snack or lunch at Browsers, the library’s coffee shop. Printing is available for 8 cents per side of a page as well as colour printing for 40 cents per side of a page.

Davis Center (DC)

This library is located mid campus and is devoted to the engineering, mathematics, and science fields. Here students will have access to 37 express workstations, study carrels, as well as silent study carrels and a silent study room. Similar printing and photocopying procedures and cost to Dana Porter. Both main campus libraries provide scheduled workshops, personalized sessions, and on-line tutorials.
