Letter From Your Editor

Dear Key Club Members,

I am so excited for the Leadership Training Conference. This will

be my third year attending! When I first went in freshmen year, I barely

knew anyone but after LTC, I knew the board better and this helped

encourage me to run for a position. Look where I am now! LTC has

greatly affected me. Seriously, you meet so many people and get so

much experience. Forget about the price, it’s definitely worth it!

CONGRATULATIONS to the new executive board of 2012-2013. I

look forward to working with each and every one of the newly

elected. Thanks to all the key club members who voted and came to

the elections!

This will be the last newsletter I will create and publish. Tear, tear, I

know you will all miss me! But don’t worry, your 2012-2013 bulletin editor

Sharon Cai will be amazing as well. Do me all a wonderful favor and

send her articles and images in the

future! If you have any questions feel

free to email me at

[email protected].

EXECUTIVE BOARD OF 2012-2013!

President Holy Cheong Vice President Han-Chang Kim

Secretary Tiffany Leung

Hello! I am currently a junior and I am in the Biological

Sciences Major. I like to sing, listen to music, and hang

out with my friends. I believe that if you do your best

and work hard to achieve your goals, you will be able

to do so.

Hello! I am currently a junior and in the

architecture major. In my free time I play the

guitar, violin, and sing. I enjoy playing sports

and reading. I am Malaysian and I love to eat

fruits. I look forward to working with everyone

and getting to know all the members! Hello guys, I’m Han-Chang, a.k.a HC. I am

currently a junior in Bio-Medical Engineering

major. I am an easily approachable person even

though I look a bit stoic, adamant, and stubborn.

My goal as VP is to build a strong bond with the

members and become a Key Club family. I like

fencing, violin, and dancing; if you like these

activities, then you know who to talk to!

Webmaster Tina Gao

My name is Sharon Cai. I am currently a

sophomore. I like to read and I am on the girls'

bowling team.

I am in the 10th Grade and I am in Gateway

to Medicine Major. I work hard in my studies

so I can be successful and rich in life whether

will become a doctor or not. If I'm not playing

a game, I'm probably at the park eating or

hanging out with friends!

Hi guys! This is Tina a.k.a. Tuna fish. Currently, I’m a

freshman. To start off, I am from Flushing but originally

from Brooklyn. I am the typical K-Pop fan-girl *squeals*

and the most obsessed drama guru you will ever meet

(I have watched over 90 Asian dramas). In my spare

time, I am on my computer catching up with friends or

eating. I am creative, loud, and artistic. I am excited

to serve Key Club so cheers to a great year!

DISTRICT NEWS

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

Hey New York District Key Clubs!

It's time to start the countdown to the 64th Annual Leadership Training Conference! This

year, LTC will occur on March 30th to April 1st and we're expecting record numbers of

Key Clubbers. Join in on a weekend full of workshops, elections, dances, a talent show,

and tons of opportunities to socialize with Key Club members from all over the state. Be

there to usher in a new service year, as well as run for higher office or share a vote in de-

termining the new District Board. LTC is an unforgettable chance to learn, have fun, and

most importantly, celebrate the values of service that we all aspire to!

International convention

Every summer Key Club International celebrates a year of service at the international

convention. Over 2,000 students and advisors gather together to introduce new

programs, present awards to outstanding clubs, conduct the organization's business,

attend educational workshops and elect international officers for the upcoming year.

The 69th Annual Key Club International Convention will take place in Orlando,

Florida July 4-8, 2012.

Every club should send at least two delegates and advisors, although many clubs send

all their officers and other key members. Make plans now to attend!

MARCH 64th Annual Leadership

Training Conference

The event many of us have been waiting for is a month away! The 64th

Annual Leadership Training Conference will be held from March 30—April 1st. It is a

time of bonding and learning. A time where key clubbers from all of New York come

together and praise each other’s accomplishments. It is also a time where leaders are

born. Aside from the serious business, it is also a time for fun and PARTIES! WOOHOO!

Note: Pictures below are all from last year.

KEY Clubber of FEBRUARY

THIS

COULD

BE

YOU!

What does it mean to be “Key Clubber of the Month”?

We give out this award each month to a particular key club member

who has made the most impact on our club for that month. In order to

get this award you have to attend events, and participate. We want to

see someone who is actively helping and contributing to their

community. But we also want to see someone who is representing

Brooklyn Tech, and most importantly, key club. This member should be

the role model for other members.
