B. Fry She called him her “sweetheart”. He looked at her with warm, soft admiring blue eyes as she visited with her friends. He was obviously patient and protective as he stood between her and the street. Instead of gazing at attractive passerby's he also showed his loyalty. My, my, what great traits in her sweet- heart. As he moved just a bit his long, lustrous hair ever so slightly brushed the fabric in her attire, his affection for her was dis- played. Yes, he’s her sweetheart– let the ways of sweet good- ness be counted. Faithful Hardworking Loyal Protective Admiring Affectionate Patient Yes, it’s easy to see why she called her Australian Shepard a “sweetheart”. Do you draw, write, or take photographs? Winter Safety Awareness- Tips For Fall Prevention Bundle up, but make sure you can see in all directions and move easily. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with tread. Light stretching before you venture out will make you more physically able to prevent a fall. Carry a small bag of salt, sand, or kitty litter in your pocket or purse to sprinkle in front of you for traction on icy paths. Avoid walking on surfaces that may be icy if you can. If you can't, slow down and shorten your stride. Snow can hide curbs and uneven surfaces. If you can't see where your foot will land, find another way. Replace worn rubber tips on canes, walkers and crutches. Dry off shoes, canes, crutches, and walkers as soon as you get indoors. If you are going out alone, carry a cell phone; know who you will call if you fall. Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration, which can affect your balance. Wear sunglasses to reduce glare from the sun and snow. Carry a cleaning cloth and stop immediately to clean your glasses if they fog up. Ask your post office, newspaper, and garbage collector about service options that might make it safer for you when conditions are bad.
