1 FEBRUARY 2020 PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Happy February everyone. Although we experienced the coldest portion of winter recently, I am optimistic that spring is on the horizon. The days are getting longer and the sun is definitely warming us up in the afternoons. At this time, I would like to thank Ms. Selski for joining our staff in the fall when she accepted the temporary assignment teaching our Grade 1/2 class. She has done an outstanding job engaging our students and providing them with opportunities. We wish her all the best in her new assignment teaching at NorKam Secondary. I am also very excited to introduce Mrs. Hrycan who is returning from her leave and will be teaching our grade 1/2 class. On another positive note, our student population continues to increase at both campuses. We have welcomed several families since the start of the New Year, as they registered children in our schools. This is reassuring and a testament to the great community that we have in Logan Lake. I recently attended the Polar Carnival and was delighted to see so many of our parents and students enjoying the many events offered. I would to thank all of the volunteers from the many organizations that came together to put on the annual event Although February is a short month, we are busy planning some major events that will be upon us soon. Two of the major events we are organizing are the Scholastic Book Fair and our 2 nd Annual Harper Mountain trip. These two events require many parent volunteers in order for them to be successful. If you are interested and able to assist us, please contact either office to let me know. Thanks for your continued support. R.
