Headline News
1. IPSA- RC 21- RC 29 Expert meeting 24-25 June 2011, Cracow Poland on
“Psycho- political socialization in the Internet Age”– Call for papers
The conference sessions will be held at the Institute of Journalism and Social
Communication, Cracow Jagiellonian University.
Presentations
The conference room will be equipped for both PowerPoint and overhead presentations.
We urge the paper givers to send their contribution to the panel chair, discussant, and
the other members of the panel at least two weeks before the conference, meaning by
June 9th. We would also like to ask the presenters to bring along some hard copy versions
of the presented paper, which can be distributed.
Date: June 24-25, 2011 (arrival June 23).
Social Program
The conference will kick off in the evening of June 23th with an informal drink (location to

be announced). The evening of June 24 there will be dinner at a local restaurant in the

The Jewish Cultural Festival Cracow which is a huge international event and
takes the whole week starts on Sunday, June 26 and maybe some people can
stay for a few more days in Cracow and participate in it. The concerts and
other events are running through the whole days and in this week of
Jewish Festival Cracow offers to visitors many attractions. We recommend you seriously
to consider to stay 1-2 day longer after the meeting!
IPSA RC21-RC29 Cracow Conference registration and fee
Fee includes: registration, coffee, tea, lunches and dinner during conference.

Members IPSA RC21 and or IPSA RC29: Regular 150 EURO, Students/Retired 100 EURO
Non-members IPSA RC21 and or IPSA RC29: Regular 175 EURO, Students/Retired 125 EURO
Registration after April 26, 2011: Regular 200 EURO, Students/Retired 150 EURO
In order to be able to register as a member, your 2011 membership fee should be paid before
April 26, 2011.

3. Journal update “Politics, Culture, and Socialization”.
The first year of the journal “Politics, Culture, and Socialization” is complete! Four issues have
come out in 2010. More information on the site http://www.politicalsocialization.org/journal.php
Please send your manuscripts and book reviews to the assistant to the editorial board Lieuwe Kalkhoven ([email protected]).
Members can subscribe to the journal at a reduced price.
Members of RC21 and RC29 are included in the Advisory Board of the journal.
4. Membership and journal subscription fees 2011
Membership and journal subscription fees 2011 Memberships are valid for one year. Postage is included.
Membership RC21 including the journal Politics, Culture and Socialization subscription: 70 Euro. Combined membership RC21-RC29 with journal subscription: 75 Euro.
Special membership regarding students and retired: Membership RC21 “Political Socialization and Education” without the journal: 15 Euro. Combined membership RC21- RC29 without the journal: 20 Euro.
