Highway Maintenance Worker Freeborn County is accepting applications for the position of full time Highway Maintenance Worker. Annual minimum pay $18.43/hourly.

Position is responsible for maintaining and repairing County roads, bridges, related structures and highway maintenance equipment. Duties include operating a motor grader and other heavy equipment to transport a variety of materials; repairing and maintaining roadway maintenance equipment and vehicles; inspecting, repairing and replacing road signs when necessary; mowing grass and trimming and removing trees and brush around roadways; operating snow plows and other heavy equipment to remove snow and ice from County roadways; performing safety inspections of roadways, bridges and equipment; grounds maintenance; traffic control; assisting engineering staff during construction projects; and other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: High School graduation or equivalent, plus experience in motor grader operations preferred. Must have two years of heavy equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. Skills testing may be required. Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License.

Highway Maintenance Worker Freeborn County is accepting applications for the position of full time Highway Maintenance Worker. Annual minimum pay $18.43/hourly.

Position is responsible for maintaining and repairing County roads, bridges, related structures and highway maintenance equipment. Duties include operating a motor grader and other heavy equipment to transport a variety of materials; repairing and maintaining roadway maintenance equipment and vehicles; inspecting, repairing and replacing road signs when necessary; mowing grass and trimming and removing trees and brush around roadways; operating snow plows and other heavy equipment to remove snow and ice from County roadways; performing safety inspections of roadways, bridges and equipment; grounds maintenance; traffic control; assisting engineering staff during construction projects; and other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: High School graduation or equivalent, plus experience in motor grader operations preferred. Must have two years of heavy equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. Skills testing may be required. Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License.
