• Middle and High School ID badges have been implemented.
• Custom lanyards for the students for the 20-21 school year are being purchased from International Promotional Ideas Inc.
Upgraded Emergency Communication Systems
• The CrisisGo platform has been implemented at 40 schools with ongoing training district-wide. Every principal has been trained as well.
• Training has also begun for the reunification piece of CrisisGo.
Interior and Exterior Facility Upgrades
Detex Door Alarms are in place and school protocols have been established.

• DVR Camera Recorders updates are completed.
Secure Vestibules (28 sites)
• We are continuing to have pre-construction meetings at each school several weeks before the work is scheduled to begin. These meetings are currently being held virtually. Attendees for these meetings include the principal, the design team, the contractor and FCPS facilities, maintenance, and IT staff.
• Construction is complete at (11) Schools: Bryan Station High, Booker T. Washington, Crawford Middle, Northern, The Professional Learning Center on Spurr Road, Winburn Middle, The Learning Center on Price Road, Dixie, The Preschool Center, Southside and Picadome
• Construction is 98% complete at SCAPA and Lafayette High School • Construction is approximately 80% complete at Morton Middle School.• Construction is approximately 25% complete at Harrison Elementary. This work
includes both a security vestibule and a full clinic renovation.• Construction will start on May 18 at Henry Clay HS. This site has at least a 14
week construction schedule because it is a full addition.• We plan to hold the pre-construction meetings for Ashland and Maxwell
Elementary Schools in June.
Metal Detectors and Security Ambassadors
•Maintenance has been done on all metal detectors at the high schools and are ready for when students return.
Additional Police Officers
• 64 Officers total• 2 Officer candidates start the academy in late summer

Mental Health and Behavioral Support Professionals:
On-Going The district will utilize the Minority Recruiter to actively recruit of minority and bilingual candidates. District Mental Health Specialist positions Recruitment may include the following: NABSE Baltimore, Urban School Human Capital Alliance Chicago, University of Louisville, Morehead, EKU, The Kentucky Association of Professional African American Women (KAPAAW, Inc.) Women Empowerment Conference, National Association of Multi-culture Education-Memphis, UK, Orlando and Miami Florida.
As of January 8, 2020
There are a total of 50 District Mental Health Specialists serving students across the district; 39 at elementary schools, 4 serving middle schools, and 6 serving high schools, 1 itinerant. DMHS continue to participate in PLC’s working on trauma informed care; tier one prevention; equity, diversity and restorative practices.
