I grew up in NJ and PA, attended Penn State University and enjoy being outdoors, hanging with my family and creating art. I enjoy creating art that reflects natural beauty. I like the challenge of all types of media but like clay and drawing with oil pastels the best.

An Artist that Inspires me…

is Andrew Wyeth (1917-2009) He was an American Realist painter who lived in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania and summered in Cushing, Maine. He is a Regionalist and his work is mostly of peaceful, thought provoking nature settings. “Distant Thunder” 1961 reminds me of vacationing in Melody Lake New York when I was a kid. I admire his attention to detail and the symbolism he incorporates into his work.

actually got to sit with students and work on a drawing! I enjoyed the time working on the still-life and experimenting with watercolor pencils.
