LaserUltra is an automatic in-process digital or Analog measurement and compensating system for a range of cutting tool parameters on FX, TX, and MX machines. LaserUltra is ideal for measuring and compensating tools to maintain tight tolerances (+/-0.002mm) in unmanned production grinding. LaserUltra is permanently mounted inside the machine and will not interfere with typical grinding processes and accessories. Using the laser, the operator can perform accurate in-process measurement and compensation without removing tools from the machine. FAST AND ACCURATE LASERULTRA (DIGILOG) MEASUREMENT – INDUSTRY FIRST FEATURES AND BENEFITS • Automated in-process tool diameter and profile compensation • No operator intervention • Suitable for batch production with lights out manufacturing • Consistency and repeatability • Reduced setup times • Non-contact measuring means no tool damage possible • Reduction of scrap tools • High productivity due to faster measurement times • Measurement reports and QC Data for analytics
