In the 1960’s both miniskirts and the Mini Cooper exemplify the youthful uprising of a decade. Designer Mary Quant, creator

of the miniskirt, launched the Mini Cooper as “a handbag on wheels.” Over

the years, Mini has worked with many fashion designers such as Versace,

Kenneth Cole, Diane von Furstenburg, Calvin Klein and for 2011, twin brothers

Dan and Dean Caten of DSquared2.

In 1972 Dr. Aldo Gucci partnered up with sports wagon, The Hornet to add his

trademark signature touch, the green and red stripes. During this time Matador and Javelin SST received attention from Oleg Cassini and

Pierre Cardin.

In the 1970’s, Ford jumped on board with several designer editions of the Lincoln

Continental Mark V. Designers such as Bill Blass, Cartier, Givenchy and Pucci incorporated

their own signature style.

Coco Chanel once said, “Fashion changes, but style endures.” In 1926 one of Chanel’s classical “Little black dress” called “Ford” graced its launch in Vogue predicting that the dress would become as accessible to all social classes as the iconic Model T. Ever since then, fashion and cars have been intrinsically linked swaying

influence on each other.

In the more recent years, Alfred Dunhill help create a special edition of the Aston Martin DB7, which includes a built–in humidor .

In 2007, Versace created a limited edition 640 horsepower Murcielago, Lamborghini which came with matching driving shoes,

gloves and luggage. 6

“When the Fiat 500 first hit the road in the fifties it created a style revolution.” says

creative director Frida Gianinni. “Gucci’s history has always been about traveling in style so when this collaboration came up, it struck me

as the perfect opportunity to create a new modern travel statement.”

Accompanying the exclusive designer car, Gucci created a collection of travel accessories, leather goods, track suits, driving accessories and sun glasses that will be sold in select Gucci stores.

Launches in 2012

As part of Gucci’s 90th anniversary celebration this year, Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini is collaborating with Fiat’s design office to customized an iconic Fiat, also known as the Italian, “cinquecento” called Fiat 500 by Gucci. This special edition sports car comes in a glossy black and white lacquer. It has distinctive Gucci elements starting with the iconic green and red stripe, which runs along the exterior and also appears inside on the seats, gearshift, carpet, and seatbelt. The interlocking GG plaques appear on the hubcaps of the rims, and also includes cursive Gucci signature on the sides of the vehicle.

Home remedy for flawless skin: Aspirin has salicylic acid which helps to remove acne and pimples since it is like a chemical peel. The lemon juice has vitamin C and helps minimize sun damage to your skin. Baking soda works great at the end to neutralize the salicylic acid. 1. Mash up 6-12 non-coated aspirins and combine

with freshly squeezed lemon juice. 2. Let the aspirin dissolve until it turns into a

paste. 3. Apply the mask to your skin and leave it on for

10 minutes. 4. Remove the face mask by dipping a cotton

round in some baking soda and some water.

Google-owned Youtube announced that it will be adding over 100 channels of original

programming.

and producers. Google reportedly laid out more than $100 million to establish the partnerships. Global head of content partnerships, Robert Kyncl

stated that these new channels will have something for everyone to watch, whether

Apple plans to begin trial production of the next

generation iPad this year with an eye to an early 2012 launch.
