How To Configure Remote Viewing for DCS-942L / DCS-5222L (Using DDNS & Port Forwarding)
In this Example,
We have a DCS-942L ip camera which is put at the LAN of a D-Link router, DIR-655. We need to access the ip camera remotely, eg. from
office.
IP Camera Setup Step 1: Browse the Installation CD that came with the mydlink Cloud Cameras and look for a software called SetupWizardSE_Setup.exe. Please install the SetupWizardSE_Setup.exe on your computer.
Note: Please ensure you have connected your ip camera to the LAN port of your router.
Your PC is connected to the router via wired/wireless.
Step 2: Click on the Start button on your computer and then select on All Programs.

Step 3: Under the All Programs select on D-Link > Setup Wizard SE and then click on D-Link Setup Wizard SE button.

Step 4: Click on Search button, the software will display all D-Link ip cameras available in the network. Select the camera you want to access from the list and then click on the Link button.
Step 5: A login screen will appear, enter the username as “admin” and the password you created
when you run the installation wizard to login to the camera Web Configuration. Click on OK button.

Step 6: Click on SETUP tab then Click on Network on the left hand side.
Step 7: Under LAN SETTINGS select the option Static IP Address, set the camera on Static IP with the same range of your router. For example:
IP Address: 192.168.0.100
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1 (The ip address of your router, in this example DIR-655)
Enable UPnP Port Forwarding – this is to add port forwarding to your router’s firewall automatically.
Click Save Settings. The camera will restart. Please access using the new IP address, ie. 192.168.0.100.

Router Setup
Step 1: Login to your router’s WEB interface via http://192.168.0.1 , in this example DIR-655.

Step 2: Click on the ADVANCED tab on top and then click on the Virtual Server on the Left Hand
Side. Configure the following:
Name: Your ip camera’s model name
IP Address: Your ip camera’s static ip address, in this example 192.168.0.100
Public & Private Port: 80
Protocol: Both
Schedule: Always
Inbound Filter: Allow All
Step 3: Click on the TOOLS tab on top and then click on the Dynamic DNS on the Left Hand Side. Configure the following:
8. Enable Dynamic DNS
9. Select the DDNS Server where you’ve registered
10. Enter the Host Name used when you’ve registered to a DDNS
11. Enter the Username used to login to the DDNS Server
12. Enter the Password used to login to the DDNS Server

13. Click on the Save Settings button
Step 4: User will now be able to access the camera at the following URL, in this example:
http://dlink123.dlinkddns.com
Alternatively, if your router DOES NOT support DDNS function, you may configure the DDNS setting on your ip camera.
How To Configure DDNS on DCS-942L/DCS-5222L
Step 1: In this example, please access to your DCS-942L / DCS-5222L WEB Interface directly by opening a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari. On the address bar, type in the IP Address of the camera http://192.168.0.100 , press Enter key on your keyboard.
Step 2: A login screen will appear, enter the username as “admin” and then the password you
created when you run the installation wizard to login to the camera Web Configuration. Click on OK
