“Never underestimate the power of a woman.”
SCOPE OF PROBLEM
every year 12 million girls are born in the country
but unfortunately
only 1/3 of those
survive.
Some are killed in the
womb, some at the time of birth, some die due to ill health and
some due to poor
nutritional status.
Indian girl child aged 1-
5 years is 75% more
likely to die than a male
child
Skewed sex ratio, with only 914 females every 1000 males due to female feticide
Maternal Mortality Ratio: In India, 200 women died every 100,000 childbirths.
Lack of awareness
Narrow thinking of Indian society
Education
Lack of equal access in freedom
Lack of social and economic empowerment
Lack of gender culture
Lack of enforcement by the police force
Feebleness of accountability mechanisms
Lack of political will
CAUSES OF THE PROBLEM
Society development is directly related to the WOMEN
EMPOWERMENT.
Empowerment of women will lead to end of
hunger and poverty.
The brutally killing of the Indian girl child by techniques as scan tests used to detect genetic abnormalities, are highly misused by number of families to detect gender of the unborn child
Woman bear almost
responsibility but still 2/3 rd of world’s women are illiterate and
unsafe
Educate a man and you educate an individual; educate a woman and you educate a family.

Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against
Women(CEDAW)
1. Five-Steps Cycle of Empowering Women's Leadership
Step 1 - Stepping Forth As Leaders
Step 2 - Leadership for Development
Step 3 - Creating Federations for a Greater Voice
Step 4- Changing Policies/Delivering Results

2. equal work
elimination of discrimination in employment.
INNOVATIVE IDEAS SOLUTIONS
Facilitating the development of
national human rights frameworks in line with
CEDAW, such as constitutions, laws and
policies
• Our society will support the
implementation of existing human
rights frameworks to help ensure impact
and rights realization.
Putting special emphasis on particularly vulnerable and marginalized groups,
such as poor or indigenous women, so
that national frameworks become more inclusive
of and responsive to the full range of women’s
rights concerns.
Society driving like saving program by
which it could be able to increase welfare of
women.
IMPLEMENTATION OF FIVE STEPS OF EMPOWERMENT
STEP 1
(a) awakens women to their selfhood and
human rights, (b) educates them about
their powers and responsibilities as
Panchayat leaders, (c) builds their capacity
to create a vision and plan actions to
achieve it, and (d) links them with
government and other resource people
in their area.
STEP 2
There are additional capacity-building
workshops for elected women
leaders, particularly about government programs. We take additional action to mobilize women to participate in the gram Sabhas , in which Panchayat
plans and budgets must be approved.
STEP 3
Block-level federations being formed ,which are
able to provide regular monthly
forums for mutual support, and state
federations are able to rally massive
numbers of elected women annually to demand change at
the policy level.
STEP 4
we will ensure that Panchayats have
successfully implemented their plans. At this state
women are powerful enough to demand policy changes and
sometimes even engage in public-interest litigation
STEP 5
we encourage the participation of women both as independently
minded voters and as candidates. As the
reserved seats rotate to different areas each term, new women are
encouraged to step forward to run for
those seats. In addition, women who have already served are encouraged to
stand for reelection against men in
unreserved seats.

Strategy: It is a global, non-profit, strategic organization committed to the women empowerment.
Vision: Our organization (NARI- SHAKTI) is a clusters of 10 to 15 villages to construct community centers, partner with local government agencies and community based organizations, and establish and manage their own programs for microfinance, improved agriculture, income-generation, adult literacy, awareness to women rights in rural areas.
IMPLEMENTATION
Micro finance
• Initially, we will allocate a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) to the epicenter (about 50,000 rs). The epicenter community elects its own leaders to serve on the loan committee and manage the RLF, which is disbursed into the community, repaid by members and disbursed again. In this process, the funds accumulate interest and grow. There is one Epicenter Loan Committee that manages the women's portion of the Microfinance Program and another that manages the men's portion. There are also village-level loan committees that interact with the various solidarity groups.
Literacy removal
• First we will aware people for the need of education. A new school will be started and qualified teachers will be appointed there. Funds will be provided to poor students for purchasing text books, note books and other school materials and Enough transport facilities will be provided to the students.
Income generation
• Women who do not have any formal training or education but have the required skills to take to the small scale industries. They choose the products that they are familiar with such as, garments, handicrafts, weaving, pottery, furniture, etc. By selling these products income can be enhanced.
Awareness
• We will divide college students in group of 4 or 5. they will go in different villages and aware the villagers about their rights, government schemes, their capabilities and their future opportunities.
Agriculture improvement
• Experts and trainers will aware them about the best methods and new techniques in agriculture field.
ACTIVITIES
Implementation
Trainers-To make people able to earn their livelihood so work off trainers is to teach them about new agriculture techniques and about new small business techniques . teachers are also needed for removal of illiteracy.
Local villagers-The members of our society is elected by and from people of that particular area because they can better deal with people of that particular area and by doing that we are giving them employment.
College youth -There are more than 3 billion people under the age of 30--that's half of the world's population. While this number may seem overwhelming, we know that young people play an indispensable role in efforts to achieve development goals. The work of college youth is to teach rural women and to make aware them about their rights and management of microfinance program of the society is under their observation.
STACKHOLDERS
CSR-Every big company have a department which provides fund for social work so we will contact to such companies for our fianancial support.
Government Infrastructure-Another way to tackle the funding problem is through government policy. we can demand for fianacial help because govt. can provide us fund as well as any building for society.
Foreign aid-Another aspect of economic development that is attracting is foreign aids . foreign aid has consisted of government funded projects (such as USAID projects), World Bank and IMF aid to developing country governments and NGOs, and NGO projects (both local and international).
Public contribution- Small contribution from everyone who is able to give ,will make us able to do our work easily.
Other societies-Tackling the funding issue by developing new partnership models with for-profit enterprises , because there are some other societies also present there which work for women welfare.
FIANANCIAL STRUCTURE
When women are supported and empowered, all of society benefits.Their families are healthier, more children go to school, agricultural productivity
improves and incomes increase. In short, communities become more resilient.
By providing women food farmers easy access to credit, adequate training and instilling in them the importance of saving, microfinance program enables women to engage in income-generating activities to increase their incomes
and invest in their families and communities.
In India, our Women's Leadership Workshop has empowered women elected to local councils to be effective change agents in their villages. They are
forming district- and state-wide federations to ensure that their voices are heard at top levels of government.
Our programs aim to support women and build their capacity. They will become aware of their rights & society will become towards in development.
