CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT PROCESS Develop a literature supported study regarding college readiness Build a coalition of school leaders, community leaders, businesses Form a committee to develop a vision for collaboration between the K-12 and univ Develop a campaign to promote the program and its benefits Empower teachers, parents, churches, community organizations Focus on exemplars such as stellar students who have earned college credits Begin to look for and seize ways to make dual enrollment the norm in the district

  15. 15. SAMPLE LESSON PLAN Before Module Review the skill: linear equations. Explain the purpose of the lesson, building on past lessons and giving tangible examples of use of math modeling in engineering. Model how to use inverse operations to solve equation During Module Display a short video regarding math modeling. Have students do sample equations via laptop or give sample problem and let them choose answer After Module Have discussion board where students share their takeaways from the lesson module and perhaps how it ties in to other materials Create a reference list of strategies.
