This policy bulletin is to inform all staff of the 2005 Summer Camp Fairs. Parents/guardians may attend these fairs to become acquainted with some of the available camps and learn about information needed to arrange summer child care for their child(ren). A separate fair will be held in each borough. A mailing is being sent to inform parents/guardians engaged in work-related activities who have school-age children of the location and time of the camp fair in their borough. Parents/guardians may also get information about summer child care by visiting the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene website at www.nyc.gov/health (under A to Z, click on D for day camps), calling the New York City Child Care Resource and Referral Consortium at (888) 469-5999 and from Child Care Specialists and JOS Workers at their Job Center. Included in the mailing to parents/guardians is the 2005 Plan Now for Summer Vacation flyer (FIA-37). There is a separate FIA-37 for each borough, each of which is identified by a different mail job (see attached samples). The dates and locations for the camp fairs are as follows: Manhattan Saturday May 7, 2005 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM 55 West 125th Street, New York, NY 10027 Brooklyn divided into two fairs according to household zip code.
