• CFSD Leadership attended Regional Casey Meeting: Implementation of FFPSA
• Applied for Kinship Navigator Grant• Child Abuse and Neglect Review Commission meets requirements of
CAPTA and FFPSA• Educational Training Vouchers (ETV) could be provide to youth up to age 26
years for a maximum of 5 years. CFSD implement change with Reach Higher.
• CFSD policy changed to provide a youth in foster care, for more than 6 months, official documentation necessary to prove the child was previously in foster care.

• CFSD held fiscal training with national consultant regarding child welfare funding and implications of FFPSA
• Received Kinship Navigator Grant -contracted with Grandparents Raising Grandchildren to implement Montana Kinship Navigator Program
• Casey Policy Advisor trained DPHHS and Governor’s office on FFPSA• Administrative rule in effect requiring congregate care facilities (shelter
cares, therapeutic group homes and group homes) to conduct a fingerprint based criminal records check on all employees prior to employment.
• Reviewed process to ensure child fatalities resulting form abuse or neglect were being accurately counted and reported.
• CFSD and University of Montana held community training for providers and tribes

• Presentation at CFSD’s Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect Conference• Introduced the Rate Matrix contract process to providers for In-Home
services, community services, parenting classes and family visitation. • Providers submitted feedback on Rate Matrix and changes made for July 1,
2019 roll-out. • Rolled out Rate Matrix. • Matrix has increased number of providers from 10 in FY19 to 40 in FY20.

• 12 CORE trainings provide to service providers, community members and legal partners; training educated attendees on CFSD safety model to support understanding services and processes needed to maintain children in the home safely.
