Family

What is Family?– is a group of people affiliated by

consanguinity, affinity, or co-residence. In most societies it is the principal institution for the socialization of children. Extended from the human "family unit" by affinity, economy, culture, tradition, honor, and friendship are concepts of family that are metaphorical, or that grow increasingly inclusive extending to nationhood and humanism.

Three types of family

1.Extended family a family group that consist of

parents, children, and other close relatives, often living in close proximity.

• 2.Single parent

• is a parent who care one or more children without the physical assistance of the other parent in the home.

• 3. Blended family

• it is where a child from a previous relationship is included in the family created by a new marriage.

Signs of healthy family

• Maintain spiritual foundation.• Make the family top priority• Ask and give respect• Communicate and listen• Value service to others• Expect and offer acceptence

Importance of family

• your family was the first school you entered

• What you learned from your family becomes your value system and forms your perceptions and basis of actions

• It is your family who give your identity

actions. An individual is known by his or her actions. It is your family that gave you an identity. Whenever you move from one place to another, you carry your family history with you. Have you ever noticed that your opinions always confirmed to the values you acquired from your family or delved deep inside them to find the seeds of thoughts that lies at their bottom? Who planted these thoughts? What gives you courage, when you are riding the wave of fortune at its deepest trough with its crest hanging over your head like a sword.

Every individual, barring few unfortunates, are similar to the earth enveloped by its environment, which acts as a protective layer and keeps the empty space out. The earth is populated and fertile because of it. For an individual, the importance of family is incalculable.

• There is a saying that you can choose your friend but you can’t choose your family. Spend your life showing those you love that they will always have a family no matter what happens.
