The President’s Corner…by Dan Stellato Leasing and Property Management Experts Fall & Winter Issue Finding Wealth in Health Community Involvement, Commitment to Quality Service & Above All; Caring About People I joined BEI 25 years ago because of these traits and I am proud to say our focus remains intact on these very important goals. From my first interview with Larry and Gerry Dempsey in 1988 through today, we credit our success to these qualities. Our belief in Community Involvement is evidenced in the following pages and we would not have been in business for almost 55 years without providing quality service to our customers. We truly care about the people in our lives; our customers, our BEI employee team members, our friends and of course our families. We also realize that businesses and employees face a new challenge in regards to Health Care. Our population is aging and now the federal government believes they have a solution to a problem that has been growing for generations; skyrocketing health care costs. In light of recent concerns with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act we will continue to discuss our health, and how we pay for it, for many years to come. I don’t know if anyone has the right answer but I do know if we all get, and stay healthier, our reliance on Health Care can be drastically reduced. So, it is important for us to remind everyone to take good care of yourselves. There are many options out there to help keep you healthy and many are highlighted in this issue. We all know folks who have lost someone special in their lives, and the grief from those losses are multiplied during the Holidays. Let’s learn from those painful experiences and use this time to commit to be healthy. We care about you, so please join us at BEI as we pledge to get healthy. Finding Wealth in Health Community Involvement, Commitment to Quality Service
& Above All; Caring About People
I joined BEI 25 years ago because of these traits and I am proud to say our focus
remains intact on these very important goals. From my first interview with Larry and
Gerry Dempsey in 1988 through today, we credit our success to these qualities.
Our belief in Community Involvement is evidenced in the following pages and we
would not have been in business for almost 55 years without providing quality
service to our customers. We truly care about the people in our lives; our customers,
our BEI employee team members, our friends and of course our families.
We also realize that businesses and employees face a new challenge in regards to
Health Care. Our population is aging and now the federal government believes they
have a solution to a problem that has been growing for generations; skyrocketing
health care costs.
In light of recent concerns with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act we
will continue to discuss our health, and how we pay for it, for many years to come. I
don’t know if anyone has the right answer but I do know if we all get, and stay
healthier, our reliance on Health Care can be drastically reduced.
So, it is important for us to remind everyone to take good care of yourselves. There
are many options out there to help keep you healthy and many are highlighted in this
issue. We all know folks who have lost someone special in their lives, and the grief
from those losses are multiplied during the Holidays. Let’s learn from those painful
experiences and use this time to commit to be healthy.
We care about you, so please join us at BEI as we pledge to get healthy.

New to the BEI Family:
Batavia Nutrition After Joe Walters realized he couldn’t go any higher in his previous company, he decided
to look for new opportunities. Not only did he successfully find a new opportunity, but he
also lost 50 pounds while discovering it!
Batavia Nutrition, a nutrition club located at 144 West Wilson in the Batavia Plaza
alongside East China Inn, Daddio’s Diner, and Walgreens celebrated its grand opening
with Mayor Schielke on October 5th with discounted products and free samples for all who
attended. With smoothie names like “Root Beer Float,” “Strawberry Cheesecake,” and
“Peanut Butter Cookie” you would hardly think they’re nutritional smoothies, but at
Batavia Nutrition, healthy can also be tasty. The trick is in the mix. Joe uses a variety of
flavors of the nutritional shake mix and can mix and match a shake that would please any
palate.
Joe chose Batavia as the location for his first shop because of how actively involved the
community is. “I am excited to be a part of downtown Batavia.” Says Joe, “With local
bike rides, triathlons, races and the river walk, it is easy to see how
active the members of this community are and Batavia Nutrition
supports this life style.”
