Club Jackets For Sale

We still have a couple of the club jackets which are black in color with white stripes on the bottom and adetachable hood check for sizes at $40.00 and they do run a little small so you need to order a larger size thanyou usually wear. We have 1-Med, 2-Larg, 3-XL and 1-XXL. We also have a new style jacket which is blackwith blue lettering and graphics. These jackets run pretty true to size. The M, L, sizes are $42.00, the X-Largesize is $45.00 and the XX-Large and XXX-Large size is $48.00. You can come out and try one on for size tosee what fits. Call Sharen @ 708-301-8899 to buy one. LCCC Sweatshirts for Sale

The Lemont Classic Car Club also has a royal blue sweatshirt jackets with a hood and a full zipper upthe front for sale. We currently have 1-Medium, 2-Large, 3 XLarge and 1-2X Large these jackets left but wecan order more if our members want them. Lemont Classic Car Club Goes To The Dogs And Cats!On Wednesday, August 10 , Bob O’Donnell and John Katauskas purchased approximately 1,000 th

pounds of Dog and Cat food and cat litter for the TLC Animal Shelter from the “Big R”. This is the second yearthat the Lemont Classic Car Club has donated a skid of food, treats and litter to help out these animals in needof forever homes. TLC has been in existence for 42 years and many of our club members have adopted animals

from TLC. We are glad to give them a helping hand towards thegood work they do for animals in need. Thank you TLC!!!

Cold Blooded Creature Night

On Saturday, July 9 , we hosted our first Donate-A-Dollar Night for Jim Nesci and his coldth

Blooded Creatures. Jim brought out Bubba the 9 foot long alligator and he gave rides to a couple of thechildren. He also brought out the 10 foot long Albino Boa Constrictor. The weather was very hot but wedid have approximately 168 vehicles at the cruise night to view the reptile show. Thank you Jim for youreducational program and the chance to see these creatures up close and personal.

The “Little Cruisers” Charity Car Show

August 6 , was our Charity Car Show which funds our “Little Cruisers” Christmas Party that we haveth

hosted every year for the past 11 years. The “Little Cruisers” are children whose families utilize the LemontFood Pantry because of the poor economic conditions in our country today. We serve the families a nice lunch,the children get to visit with Santa, Mrs. Santa and 5 full dressed elves and receive toys, play Christmas Bingofor golden dollars and have a chance to win an larger age appropriate gift. The parents have a chance to win aChristmas tree with lights and some ornaments and the last 5 years we have had enough money left in ourbudget to give each family a $25.00 gift certificate from Chipains Grocery store.

This year we had 167 Vehicles in attendance and a $370.00 50/50. This gives us a budget of

approximately $3,700.00 for our “Little Cruisers” Christmas party. As in years past we have more and

more families in attendance so the cost is higher every year. Thanks to Ambassador Car Carriers and

the Tows For Tots Parade, most the toys for our children have been donated. The last 5 years our toy

budget has been keep to a minimum so we can use these funds to finance other gifts for these families.

Thanks to the DRIVE Radio Station for coming out with their games and concert Tickets for the

people to win. Thanks to everyone that came out to our Charity Car Show and who bought 50/50

tickets all year as these funds help us continue our charity donations to TLC Animal Shelter in the form

of animal foods, One Step At A Time Cancer Camp in the form of a cash donation, Shady Oaks Camp

For People With Disabilities in the form of a cash donation and the Donate-A-Dollar Animal Nights

which the $1.00 goes directly to the animals for their food and care. Hope to see everyone next year for

our Annual Charity Car Show.

Big Run Wolf Ranch Back This Year

On August 27 , our Donate-A-Dollar Night was designated for the Big Run Wolf Ranch. Weth

had a Woodchuck, Skunk, Porcupine, a Coyote and a Wolf in attendance for a seminar on North

American Wildlife. The children and the adults as well enjoyed touching the magnificent animals and

learning about their habitats. We had approximately 100 vehicles in attendance this night and raised

about $300.00 for the Big Run Wolf Ranch. We hope everyone had a good time and enjoyed the show.

Club Picnic Held August 28 th

On Sunday, August 28 , we held our annual club picnic at the Lemont Park District in theth

pavilion with 82 people in attendance. Chesdans did the catering as usual and everyone brought a little

something for the table to share. The day started out as a little cloudy and just before dinner was to be

served it started to drizzle. This is one event that everyone should take advantage of as it is free for all

members and their immediate family and a good time just to sit and visit with club members. Maybe

next year more people will decide to come out and just enjoy the day as summer slowly slips away.

Dick Biondi Documentary

On Saturday, September 10 , the Lemont Car Club was asked to bring out some 50's and 60'sth

cars out for a photo shoot for a documentary being filmed to commemorate the life of long time radio

DJ Dick Biondi. We had a couple of big obstacles to over come. First, the filming destination was at

Superdawg at 6363 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago and second, we had to be there at 1:30 AM

when the restaurant closed. We needed about 12 to 15 vehicles and we were lucky enough to ger 14

vehicles. We had a combination of Hot Rods and regular Classic Cars and one 73 Mustang

Convertible. It was quite an adventure and I know that I will probably never do anything like that

again. We did not get home until 5 AM in the morning! I want to thank everyone that came out and

answered the call especially Sharon Renkas who drove her 57 T-Bird down town on a very chilly night

with no top. I want to thank the nine members of the Lemont Classic Car Club and the 4 people that

joined us in making this a special event and hopefully a great tribute to a man that deserves a lot of

special attention for everything that he has done for people within the sound of his voice, Mr. Dick

Biondi. A special thank you to Dennis Secara for putting a shout out on his website to help us reach out

to more Classic car owners to get involved in this event. Thanks everyone !!!

Wrap Party To Be Held On December 5th

This year our annual wrap party will be held at Matt and Pam Dallio’s home again on December
