Another 90 days and anoth-er 67 Carmel home-sales
as opposed to the 47 sales in the previous 90 days. Yes, the middle of the Carmel market is hot and we really do mean ‘HOT’. With sales ranging from $500,000 to $3,800,000 we are seeing a great deal of activity in the middle range but the upper-end remains tepid, but appears to be gaining steam. In the prior 90 days here were three proper-ties selling above the $4,000,000 mark, two in the $4,000,000 to $4,500,000 range and the other being the ‘Butterfly House” which
went for just over $16,000,000. Along with the increase in the number of sales we are also be-ginning to see an increase in rel-ative selling prices. This overall market activity is bringing new in-terest from buyers who may have been on the sidelines just waiting to see the bottom. We are en-couraged by this quarter’s activ-ity and look forward to the more expensive properties gaining in overall sales as confidence in the Carmel market grows.
