Marissa Barrie Northern Girl Trying to Make it in the South I just found out the other day that I will be going to Cambodia for my outreach. I will be leaving on this adventure in January. I am excited for the next 2 and a half months. In class we will learn and grown more in order to be prepared to share the love of God with the country of Cambodia! Outreach to Cambodia! I am only in my second week at my Discipleship Training School here at Youth with a Mission Nashville and already God is moving in my life. I have met so many amazing friends from all over the world and each of them has different backgrounds and experiences and I am learning so much from them. I am staying at the YWAM base in the small town of Adams Tennessee in the heart of the countryside, a thirty minute drive from civilization! I used to think my hometown of Cloverdale had a small town feel but it doesn’t compare to Adams. Even though I am only at the start of this adventure; I feel like God has changed my heart so much already and has given me a greater sense of my identity in him. I had a lot of reservations about picking up the life I made at home and taking this chance to follow Gods call, but I am so glad I did! I know this is part of the path He is leading me on and if I follow him he is going to allow me to do great things for his kingdom! I have had such a busy time here so far! During class time we have had guest speakers come and about different subjects each week. We also have a couple hours each day where we have work duties to help kept the base looking good.
