Lewis R. Goldfrank, hasworked at BellevueHospital Center andNew York UniversityMedical Center for thelast 40 years. He iscurrently the HerbertW. Adams Professor ofthe Ronald O. Perelman

Department of Emergency Medicine at New YorkUniversity. His efforts have led to the developmentof NYU’s Emergency Medicine and MedicalToxicology residencies.

Dr. Goldfrank has served as the Chairman of theAmerican Board of Emergency Medicine’s subboardon Medical Toxicology, the American Board ofMedical Toxicology and the Society for AcademicEmergency Medicine. His investigations inpreparedness include developing and leading aconsortium on preparedness with the NYCDepartment of Health, leading the New YorkUniversity School of Medicine Consortium onPreparedness and being the principal investigatorfor an ASPR evaluation of the NYU response toHurricane Sandy.

Dr. Goldfrank is a member of the National Academyof Sciences and chaired numerous IOM Committees.He has had national and international leadershiproles in global health, public health and preparednessfor catastrophic events.
