Factual Writing

Page 2: Factual writing

There are different types of typographic tools for example the title has been made bigger than the text and the colour has been changed to a red. It is in all capitals to tell you it is important. It has been cut into sections by having big red titles and than an explanation underneath. They have made important texts bold or they have changed the type of font.

There are images showing how to get there and what to expect when there.

The text is clear and easy to understand which is clarity. One part of the text is not as clear as the other bit they have done this to make it stand out and make the viewer read that part. There is conciseness because they use few words to get each section of the leaflets point across.

They use informal writing within the leaflet

They are biased about over museum because they believe that there museum is the best

The colour scheme that has been chosen is a yellow background and red text. The red text could be seen as demanding as red is seen as a negative colour but the yellow background make it feel warm and welcoming.

This leaflet is very fact based telling you facts about what is coming up and other details like what is in the shop.

The instruction manual uses big bold writing as the title and keeps all the letters in the title in capital letters. Putting numbers next to the text makes it clear and easy to understand for the reader. Also the numbers break the page into sections.

There are images to further describe and show what the text is implementing.

Text that they find not as important they have made smaller to show that it is less important then the rest of the text.

The manual is in black and white which are colours you can resemble to batman.

There isn't ambiguity because the manual knows what it is taking about otherwise the reader would struggle to put it together. The Information is clear and easy to read and the instructions are clear and out in order so are easy to follow. The manual is accurate as it shows how to create the product step by step.

The manual is kept simple and is only broken down into 4 steps so there is no large details about putting it together and they make it as easy as possible for the reader.

They have made the company name in 3D to make it stand out more and to make it something that the viewer looks at before going on to the instructions.

They have made the titles and the sub titles stand out buy making them bigger than the rest of the text. Also the title stands out more than the sub titles because it has a purple colour.

Adding numbers splits up the text into curtain sections. They have used conciseness when telling you how to do the curtain steps using as fewer words as possible.

They used images to show the different type of pay you can do by putting more spots onto the T-Shirts depending on the one you would like to do. They have also used images behind the text adding more to grab the viewer attention.

They split the page into a orange and grey section the grey section is for the text and the orange section is for the sub titles. They have used orange because it catches your eye and is a bright colour to grab your attention then the grey parts as the more boring parts so they have used more of a dull colour showing that they are not as important as the parts in the orange box. Another reason for the colour scheme is because the colours match there logo the purple, white and the orange.

It is clear and easy to understand the text. They have used bullet points to make it clear and easy to follow for the reader. They have changed the font of the titles to make them stand out more.

They used very short amounts of text keeping the text to the point and not rambling on. The how to guide is accurate as it is telling how to do something so it has to be accurate otherwise you will learn something that Is wrong. The information is clear and there is no ambiguity all the information is certain otherwise it would not be a how to do guide.

There are quotes in the text taking about how he feels about the children within Africa. For example “The Ghanaian children were all incredibly hard working, competitive and optimistic and have a natural fitness and athleticism”. They also reference the quotes and make sure that they are correctly attributed.

It is very formal text taking about children instead of kids as an example.

The title is bold and bigger than the rest of the text to show its importance. Also there is a short summary of what you are going to read that is bigger than the text for people how don’t want to read the entire page.

The images support the text and show images of the person they are taking about and the children that he worked with.

There are legal constraints on this because the newspaper cant say anything but the truth about what happened.

The newspaper has codes of practice that cant be broken by the writer. So he has to make sure that all we has written falls within these guidelines otherwise it will not be published.

The article has lots of opinions from the person how was working with the children. The text is clear to read and understand, the font is a good font to be able to read.

There is biased at the part because at the start they are only taking about his path to winning the gold medal in the European masters

There is two sides to the story as they talk about an Italian how is the favorite and show his way through the qualifying rounds but it is more favouriting the British runner.
