In schools and at home we pro- vide them suitable learning conditions to help their overall personality development. This era is of technology and new technologies are evolving day by day. Gone are the days when mere cramming up answers was thought enough for learning. Now we need inquisitive minds. To foster this in- quisitiveness among children, attention should be paid to the pre learning needs . Teaching and parenting both should be reappraised. The first step towards this should be knowing the aptitude and capability of a child. No two children are alike. Hence we should keep their individual differences in mind. If one task is good for one child it could be irrelevant for the other. Children must be given small goals or targets and let them attain them on their own. We shouldn’t force our expectations on the child. Encourage every small achievement of theirs. Motivate them to do better next time. As a parent and as a teacher we should not be too protective. A child will eventually learn from his/her mistakes . We just need to guide them in the right direction and enlighten their path with proper mentoring and nurture them with care. Our commitment at Kendriya Vidyalaya, R.K.Puram is to provide a challenging educational programme for all students within a safe, nurturing environment which will enable students to function as productive, ethical and responsible global citizens. It is the contribution of our stu- dents to our school and community that makes Kendriya Vidyalaya Sector-8, R.K.Puram an exceptional learning com- munity. We encourage the students to explore their potential and become re- sponsible members of a global society.
