The Federal Republican and Commercial Gazette was published from1808 to 1813 in Georgetown, DC. This is issue number 1039of 1063. The main article is a narrative by Captain Randlett of the schooner Pocahontas. The Pocahontas left Boston for Gibraltar inFebruary 1812 discharging its cargo after 35 day voyage. On return it was captured by Portuguese pirates and headed to theCaribbean. The story ends with the British in charge as the US was a war with England. Dimensions of frame 25" x 19".

16: Shenandoah Model Clipper Ship USD 200 - 500

The Shenandoah was a famous clipper ship built in 1890, the last of the Bath Maine quartet of clipper ships. Captain Murphy whopiloted the ship often stated that it was the finest sailing ship ever built with the biggest cargo ever stowed under its hatches. Theship was fast four- master often logging 300 miles in a day and handled like a yacht. On her maiden voyage she went with 5,100tons of wheat from San Francisco, the largest cargo ever taken out of San Francisco in a sailing ship. The model is 50" long by31"Height by 5.5" Width with a wooden base with nametag.
