More captives- Ezekiel was taken captive to Babylon• 586 B.C Jerusalem destroyed- Jeremiah flees to Egypt• Ezekiel in Babylon 597 to 570 B.C.• CAPTIVITY in Babylon lasted TILL 536 B.C.(70 years)• Ezekiel saw visions for this period but they are hard to

• Ezekiel would have been Jeremiah’s student and known Daniel in Babylon (14:14)
• He lived in a village called Tel Habib• As captive lived in Chebar river and dug cannel for ships
to go from Tigris to Euphrates and to Nippur.• It is a place about 50 miles SE of Babylon about 40 miles
away from Fara, the home of Noah and 100 miles away from garden of Eden
• From there he saw visions about far away Jerusalem
