n July 12 at 2.35 A.M, an eerie silence descended upon the corridors of Parumala, though the shrine of Parumala is

renowned for its quintessential quietness and silence, that night the silence was very profound which reverberated throughout the Church. Yes, the Church had lost its true shepherd! We as a Church lost our Moran, but on the contrary the heavens rejoiced, as the ardent servant of Christ, our Holy Father Baseliose Marthoma Paulose II finally walked off into the sunset, into the bosom of God Almighty, whom our shepherd loved, served, prayed unswervingly and unconditionally till his last breath. As I pen down my thoughts, I know how weak and fruitless any words of mine in attempt must be to beguile the faithful and myself from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But as we remember him during these days, I am reminded of the words of our Church Father St. Gregory of Nazianzus who at the funeral of his dearest friend, St. Basil of Caesarea testified,

In this grace, as in all others, he was a public example… he did not deem himself worthy of this rank in the sanctuary, and thus proceeded to praise the Lord in the seat of the Presbyters, and next in that of the Bishops, attaining the office neither by stealth nor by violence, instead of seeking for the honour, being sought for by it, and receiving it not as a human favour, but as from God and divine.

Bava Thirumeni, as we dearly call him, was an embodiment of selflessness who never desired any status, authority, or power, but like a child humbled himself before God and offered himself as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. As St. Gregory opined

about St. Basil, our Bava thirumeni never sought positions or human favour but instead it was God Himself who sought him and bestowed the Divine favours.

As I reminisce the life of His Holiness, my thoughts swirl around that “Tree” which the Psalmist describes in his Psalms.

He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither.

This is a beautiful image of a person of faith who lives out a life according to the precepts of God. Bava Thirumeni was one “who walked with God” and he was a “man after God’s own heart”. Also, a tree has deep roots and is usually very sturdy, especially when compared to a tumble weed. A tree portrays stability and the capacity to withstand the storms of life. It’s the picture of mental, emotional, and spiritual stability in every kind of situation. His Holiness too had to face great many and severe storms throughout His life. He was subjected to criticisms, disapprovals, but it was his deep-rooted relationship with his Almighty, that helped him to weather all these storms. As he stood firm throughout his life, the Church can never forget the protection and shelter it received during his tenure as the Supreme Head of the Church. As his roots were strong the Church was properly positioned, as his shoots were strong the Church under him continuously progressed and as he bore good fruits in His relationship with God, the Church tasted these fruits and proved to be productive.

Another interesting aspect of the aforementioned Tree in the Psalms is that, the tree was firmly “planted” by the streams of water. The tree did not sprout out by itself but rather the tree was planted, which means taking a plant out of one environment and placing it into another. A young boy named Paul from the remote parts of Kunnamkulam, was transplanted into the Church by the Divine hands and also firmly planted by the streams of divine fountain which helped the Church to grow under His shade and protection, stronger than ever more!

Though we are lamenting the loss of our beloved Bava Thirumeni, let us not forget that he is still firmly planted near the Divine fountain, and the Church continues to be nourished under this Divine tree. The Psalmist also says, “whose leaf shall not wither”; even a healthy tree will have leaves that wither and fall off in autumn. But this Divine tree (Bava Thirumeni), it’s leaves will never wither. His Holiness’ life and contributions towards the Church will never wither, he will always be remembered, and he would remain engraved in the golden annals of the history of our Church. Unto ages, the faithful would continue to enjoy the green pastures which our True Shepherd has laid down for us, the faithful would enjoy the fruits that our Thirumeni bore. Though we have lost our spiritual father, we now have a great intercessor planted in heaven across the Divine stream, interceding for us, stronger than ever more. And as His Holiness continues to grow in God Almighty the Church seeks refuge in his Divine growth and also seeks refuge in his unceasing intercessions!

May the blessed memory of H.H Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulose II be a stronghold for us!!

This testimony of St. Paul stands as a good witness to His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, in his ministry as the Head of the Church. It is quite obvious that a person of His Holiness’ standing, cannot have an easy life. The Office would be open for criticisms and denigrations. For any leadership position, accepting and catering to the opinions, demands and needs of everybody is literally an impossible task. In addressing the confronting issues while trying to preserve justice and values, the position taken could be easily interpreted as insensitiveness. It is true that many a times, the wider public misunderstood His Holiness for his ways of dispensing the responsibilities. All the same, the opinions thus formed and reflected did not affect his conviction, whereas it only made him focus on the preservation of the identity of the Church.

His Holiness’ convictions and unassuming and innocent ways of expressing it were very well appreciated by the international communities and leaders of the churches across the globe. In his ten years as Catholicose of the Church he made ten exclusive ecumenical journeys internationally, and undoubtedly these journeys will be written into the history of the church in golden letters. It is for sure that, young researchers will find ample materials to search on how and what respect this had helped the Church in weaving and mending those patches which had gone frail. This account here is not meant to be a list of the journeys made but an attempt to highlight some few significant facts for its uniqueness. Particularly I would like to highlight two ecumenical

journeys- one, His Holiness as the guest of honour to the celebration of the Feast of the Holy Cross in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in September 2017 and two, on invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill the visit made to the Moscow Patriarchate in September 2019. This does not mean that the momentous visits he made to

the Holy See of Vatican or Holy Etchmiadzin had gone in oblivion but the aforementioned two visits are picked for some particular eventful aspects to get highlighted.

The visit to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in September 2017 was epoch

making for several reasons. During this visit, as the Head of the Church, His Holiness addressed the Holy Episcopal Synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, both the Heads of the churches signed a bilateral agreement on the fraternal relations, his Holiness was invited to the presidential residence of the country, he was the chief guest along with the President and Patriarch of Ethiopia for the celebration of the Feast of Holy Cross in the public square of the capital city of the Country and His Holiness was ceremoniously welcomed in the thirteenth century monastery of Debre Libanos and in the historical site of Lalibela. All these had happened for the first time in the history of our Church.

the Holy See of Vatican or Holy Etchmiadzin had gone in oblivion but the aforementioned two visits are picked for some particular eventful aspects to get highlighted.

In the visit to the Moscow Patriarchate in September 2019, apart from all the official programs of the meetings of the dignitaries, there was another unusual out of the schedule happenstance transpired which deserved to be recorded. During the visit His Holiness was staying in the guesthouse of the Convent of Intercession in Moscow. It is in the church of this convent, which is called the Church of the ‘Protecting Veil of our Lady’, that the mortal remains of Saint Matrona, the most popular modern-day saint, had been laid to rest. Saint Matrona was born blind and in her life time itself (+1952) she had been visited by people from all walks of life in requesting her prayers and seeking good counsel and blessings.

Every day there would be people in long queues waiting at her shrine in offering their prayers. His Holiness had got hugely moved by this scene and in the brief span of his visit he visited three times to the shrine of St. Matrona in spending long time there and offering his prayers. Later on, His Holiness personally gave the testimony that after this visit, “my mind changed into a new spiritual path”. He became an ardent devotee of the saint in seeking her intercessions along with Holy Mother Mary and other saints, in saying his prayers to the Lord. In February 2020 when the members of the Joint Working Committee for Bilateral Relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and our Church visited His Holiness in Mar Baselios Dayara, Njaliakuzhy, His Holiness explained his devotion to St. Matrona to Archbishop Leonid, the Chairman of the Working Committee. This was later on made

known in Moscow Patriarchate. The Convent of Intercession in Moscow ardently prayed every day for His Holiness in his illness. Later on, in the condolence letter written by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow, he wrote that His Holiness the Catholicos had “great respect for and showed sincere interest in Russia and the Russian Orthodox Church, its traditions and spiritual heritage. It especially touched my heart to learn about the note written by him shortly before his death, in which he mentioned the Blessed Matrona of Moscow, whose life and deeds had been made known to him during his visit to the Russian capital.” Thus, even in the contexts of official visits in enhancing the relations with other churches, His Holiness the Catholicos had his priority in exploring into spiritual traditions.

All the visits of His Holiness the Catholicos to the sister Christian traditions had brought greater reputation and acceptance to our Church. In all his visits he maintained the greater dignity and decorum of our St. Thomas’ traditions. May the memory of the Holy Father be eternal.

Vatican Visit of His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Paulose II

H.H Baselios Marthoma Paulose II with Kiril Patriarch

“Naswaramaam Veetae”... This farewell song filled the courtyard of the Devalokam Aramana... and my heart sobbed for the departed Supreme Head of our Church... “The days of our years are three score years and ten (70), or even by reason of strength four score years (80).” (Psalm 90:10). Bava Thirumeni left for his heavenly abode at the age of 75.

I met Thirumeni for the first time in 1972-73, when he (Deacon K.I. Paul) joined the Kottayam CMS College as a student of M.A. Sociology. He was staying in the M.D. Hostel near the college. It was the Head Office of the M.G.O.C.S.M. and the Deacon assisted the then Secretary Fr. P.C. Cherian. As he had full grown beard at that time and so we did not know whether he was a deacon or priest.

When I became the Secretary of the MGOCSM unit in CMS College, Paulachan was the Vice President, and his wholehearted efforts were instrumental for our success, especially since it was the last

year of a unified Church before the fragmentation in 1972-73. The innocent face and the never failing smile that adorned him in those days remained ever fresh with him till the end.

Priest in 1973... First service in Mangad St. Gregorios Church... Short-time Vicar in Mooleppaatt Mar Baselios Mar Gregorios Church... (Some people think that he was never a vicar)... Warden in Trivandrum MGOCSM Centre... and then Asst. Vicar in the Ernakulam St. Mary’s Cathedral for about 8 years... Fr. O.V. Elias, the Vicar was a model priest... Fr. Joseph Vendarappally, the co-vicar was a priest of crystallised words... and young priest joined them to give a golden era for the Ernakulam Church... the strong friendships that he developed there and his simple nature coupled with his determination helped him to make the separation of Palarivattom Church peaceful. Around this time, there is something worth remembering for me... He also initiated the steps for my marriage in 1979.

Remban at the age of 36 (1983)... BISHOP at 38 (15/5/1985)...

“We consider it (the release commemorative postal stamp of the Old Seminary) a great honour paid to the ancestral leaders of our community in Kerala who heroically resisted all the undue interventions of foreign powers in the religious freedom and political governance of our Indian Christian community. I do not want to limit the meaning of this occasion to a celebration of the past. Taking a step further, I would prefer to see this instance as a symbol of our unfailing commitment to the proud heritage of our nation.”

(From his speech at the releasing of the commemorative postal stamp of the Old Seminary, April 2015 at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan)

Shepherd of the newly formed Kunnamkulam Home Diocese... With this, his name changed to “Paulose Mar Militheos” but inside He remained Paulachan! In 2006, at the age of 60, he was elected as “CATHOLICOS DESIGNATE”... the divine call for this came from HH Didimos the then Catholicos of sacred memory... Eventually the Metropolitan was elevated to the Apostolic Throne of St. Thomas as CATHOLICOS & MALANKARA METROPOLITAN on the Keralappiravi day, first November 2010 at the Holy Parumala Church even as his predecessor was alive to lead the ordination. When the ordination news came in the newspapers, the memories of two college friends also appeared. It remains fresh in my mind that Thirumeni himself had given my name.

In 2012, I had a surprise call from the Holiness... And I never imagined that it would be a fond invitation to join the apex bodies, the Working Committee, Advisory Board and the Managing Committee of the Malankara Orthodox Church... He gave me an opportunity to work in the company of great men for five long years... respectable salary revision for the priests... the controversial Methran Transfer Committee... Unification of church accounting... and above all, the chance to speak on a rare topic “A Layman’s View of the Clergy”... (What is expected of a priest... and what is not expected from them, in our view!!)

Nowadays we are hearing a lot about his charity and social commitment... What Bava Thirumeni did for the Cerebral Palsy stricken Anugrah and benevolent Fathima at Kozhikode... the poor woman at Pandanad who got the miracle of a house even when Thirumeni was on sickbed at Parumala Hospital... the witnessing of music maestro Chithraji... In fact he was feeding thousands with the “five loaves and two fish” in his hand... Each one of us may have more to tell like this but he kept all these miracles confidential...

I remember him more for his simplicity and transparency... Whenever he visited any church, he preferred to come out in the open and interact with the common man... rather than sitting inside guest rooms and enjoying royal feeding... This could be a model for all those who adorn great positions... When he said “WE”, it meant ‘all of us’ and not “I”!

Parumala Super Speciality Hospital that he held to his heart... Snehasparsam to help Cancer treatment... Cyber fasting to control out addiction to the media... MOHE (Malankara Orthodox Human Empowerment Department of the Church to promote all round development of our life... the epic meeting of the successor of St. Thomas (the Catholicos) with the successor of St. Peter (Pope Francis)... the firm decision to reject the proposal of Honorary Doctorate proposed by the Serampore University... and finally the Supreme Court Order of 2017, which generations wanted to see and hear... hope for a litigation-free Unified Church!... Thirumeni left giving us a lot to remember...

Jesus Christ started in a manger... rose to the Calvary... and returned to his heavenly seat through Resurrection and Ascension... Thirumeni submitted himself into the hands of his beloved master... rose from his simple beginning to the throne of his Universal Church... after passing through all the sufferings of a common man... My heartfelt condolences, felicitations and farewell to my greatest friend of fifty years... May his prayers be a fortress to each one of us!... I conclude for the time being with a difficult question, which was his bonafide dream... “A LITIGATION-FREE UNIFIED CHURCH”... Can we realise it for him?

Memories Never Die

Eyes on High

– My Days with My Dear Friend

My day, the 12th of July 2021, had started with a very sad news. My close friend from school days had passed away in the small hours when I was enjoying the Euro-Cup final.

He was humble, down-to-earth, sincere. He never argued with anybody because he was devoid of ego. He didn't have any enemies because all the elements of enmity will dissolve by the beautiful smile on his face. He was a good student without any pretensions. He always did good to others. From the Govt High School, Pazhanji we did Pre-University at St Thomas College, Thrissur. Then we had to part our ways. While he remained in St Thomas for his BSc (Physics), I came to Govt Victoria College, Palakkad to do BSc (Chemistry). During my Indian Express days in Fort Cochin in early 80s, I came to know that K.I. Paul had become a priest of the Orthodox church and was based in Ernakulam. I visited him in his hostel frequently and he came to my residence once when my sister prevailed over him to have lunch and evening tea. (My brother-in-law Baby K. Roy who was general secretary of YMCA, Cochin was with him in St Thomas for BSc).

The years to come raised him to be a Bishop, then metropolitan the Most Rev. Paulose Mar Miletheus, and finally to be the Head of the Church. From K.I. Paul (we referred him so because there was another K.J. Paul in our batch) he had grown to be Catholicos Paulose II. The fame or name never went into his head. My old Paul remained the same with a mind open for truth, justice, and right thinking, caring for the poor and needy, and guiding the faithful in the right path.

Last year our friend Dr Davis (now settled in the US) called me and said Bava (our Paul) had contacted him. During their conversion, Bava had told him that he wanted to talk to me. “Why can’t you call him?” Davis had asked me. I replied: He is a busy person, why should I unnecessarily disturb him?

But Bava’s call came to me in a couple of days. He had traced my number through the parish priests at Pazhanji and Palakkad. He condoled the death of my brother, which Dr Davis had told him. We talked at length for 45-50 minutes talking about my family and

children, and friends in school in general. When I enquired of his elder brother Thampi who was senior to us in our school, he said his four daughters were married to priests and were doing well. After a pause he said his brother was suffering from lung cancer and was under treatment at Parumala hospital.

Then he revealed me a painful secret -- that he too had the same illness, lung cancer, and that he was not much worried about it, in a voice exuding rare courage. His brother died in a month. During our talk, we could find out that his maternal grandmother and my paternal grandmother were first cousins from the Panakkal family of Kunnamkulam and his mother belonged to another branch of our family, Pulikkottil. That was a late finding.

Our contact was restored when I joined The Indian Express at Fort Cochin in the early 80s. At that time, he was an assistant priest at the Orthodox Church at Ernakulam where his service was exemplary. He never ran after money; attended the call of rich and poor alike any time -- in nights, hot sun or pouring rain. His decision to remain a bachelor was the hardest for his parents who tried to dissuade him, but nothing could waver him. In a talk, he had told me that the decision was his own. "If I ever feel to get married any time, I will remove my robe and remain an ordinary man."

Our meetings lasted for two or three hours each time. I was eager to know what influenced him to become a priest because I also had an offer from our bishop (the Late Rt Rev Dr Thomas Mar Athanasius) which I had never taken seriously.

He said: “I regularly attended the service at the St Mary’s Church at Pazhanji where he was baptized, though he had a church near home. One day our Thekkekara Achan (the Late Rev Fr C.V. Abraham) handed me over an application for entrance to seminary and asked me to seriously think of it. I had casually put the form on the table at home and forgot about it. My idea then was only to get

a job and support my ageing parents. But the senior priest went on reminding me about it. As it grew to a menacing level, I stopped going to that church for about six months to avoid him. One fine Sunday morning, a voice whispered in my ears: ‘why cannot you be a priest?’ The very same day, I took the form, went to the Pazhanji church, met the priest and did what all to be done with his help.”

Many outside never know about the church festivals in Kunnamkulam area in which elephants were paraded. This untraditional practice had started at the St Mary’s Church (now Orthodox Cathedral) at Pazhanji more than a century ago. Mar Miletheus boldly branded it anti-Christian which offended the disobedient local community. It seems, God also had supported him. See, how the Covid has totally stopped this evil practice for the last two years!

Once he narrated me an incident which would have led him into great trouble. He had a brief visit home in a weekend. One poor family there never supported the elephant-festival which irritated the bigwigs in the Mangad parish. They were waiting for an opportunity to take revenge. That was when an old lady of the family died. There was an unofficial decision by the parishioners not to associate with the funeral. They too tried to prevent the parish priest from performing the funeral rites. Somehow, the news came to Fr Paul who did not see anything right in the parishioners’ stand. Fr Paul, who had to return to Ernakulam the same day, was in great confusion. He thought the young parish priest, out of fear, might succumb to the pressures and the poor family would suffer the ignominy forever.

So, he went in person to the parish priest and told him: “you are a priest, and I am also a priest. If you fail to do your duty, then you will know who I am and what our church is!” The parishioners heard the stringent warning, yet Fr Paul was not sure what the parish priest would do. So, he remained home and waited to help the family, if help was need, until the body was taken to the cemetery.

His courage to face difficult situations was remarkable because he faced them as a child relying on God’s grace. Once he recounted me how he had to face a difficult situation when he was the warden of the church hostel at Trivandrum. He was specially

deputed there to maintain discipline which he could achieve in a year. As things were going on smoothly, he was forced to give accommodation to a wayward student who was expelled from his college hostel a month before the exams. He took him after giving strict instructions to which he and his father had agreed. In a week's time his indiscipline started troubling others. He would drink in the hostel, disturb others, go for movies scaling the wall and use filthy language. Complaints started pouring in. The boy was not bothered of repeated warnings.

It had become a prestige issue for Fr Paul. So, he gave an ultimatum with time and date for the ruffian to vacate. The entire hostel inmates knew about it. Fr Paul was confident to handle the situation alone, but a priest cannot resort to use force or get into a physical combat. He started praying fervently and believed that God would work for him. On the appointed day, he reluctantly walked to the boy's room with some expectant inmates following. As he approached the room, he couldn’t believe his ears. An

argument was going on inside. The boy had bought a big knife and had determined to attack the warden. He wanted his friend, another bully who was expelled from the college hostel a year ago, to accompany him. But the first one challenged him and said, "if you do any harm to the priest, I will stab you to death. He has taught me how to be decent and obedient. He is such a good person. I will not allow you to harm him anyway." Then he caught hold of the ruffian by the collar, dragged him out of the hostel, threw out his belongings and stood at the gate with a dagger until the troublemaker left the place. Fr Paul stressed how God answers to one's fervent prayers.

Tempered by the hardships of life from childhood, he could boldly face stiffer tests as the first bishop of Arthat-Kunnamkulam diocese. “A prophet is not without honour except in his own country and in his own house,” is what Jesus said when he was not accepted by his people in Nazareth (Matthew 13:57). This was what welcomed the new diocesan bishop in his country too.

Many believers in the area did not understand him or his principled stand; for a rich business community, the bishop from their backyard should be a meek lamb dancing to their tune. But Paulose Mar Miletheus was different; he was not overawed by their money and might. When his detractors could not subdue him, they resorted to the base tactics. They found fault in him for driving his car and buying vegetables. There were several court cases against him. His rivals manipulated court orders, abused him, called him a womaniser, spread the rumour that he was corrupt and inefficient, but none of their weapons worked against the man of prayer. How can he fit into their mould when God had moulded him for His service in a superior way! He coolly dismissed these darts of the devil by sporting an all-forgiving smile on his face.

When his own people rejected him, his reputation was growing elsewhere, and he was elevated as Head of the church. Once I was travelling in a bus from Chengannur to Maramon. A youth next to me engaged me in a casual talk. When I told him that I was from Kunnamkulam, he said his Bava Thirumeni was also from Kunnamkulam. I told him he was my classmate in school. He looked at me in great disbelief; then he was ready to fall at my feet. He said "Our Bava is a holy man. You are blessed because you could study with him." It surprised me a lot to see how a youth from a far-off area held him in great esteem!

Our last personal meeting was at the Parumala Church five years ago when I went there to attend the wedding of a close relative. Bava led the ceremonies. After the service he was coming out accompanied by a priest. As he was going the way where I stood, I stepped forward and asked him: “Do you remember me?” He looked at me and said: “Nee Francis alleda?” (Are you not Francis?), with the same warmth of the school days. As the priest looked on in surprise, I told him jokingly: “We were classmates in school; he was a good man then. I don’t know about him now.” The priest could pick up the joke and retorted: “He is the same even now.” “Then don’t spoil him,” was my comment. All of us had a hearty laugh.

Memories never die, they will accompany us to our grave. In our last telephonic talk, we had agreed to pray for each other and I prayed God every day to give him 15 added years as God had granted to King Hezekiah. But that was not to be. However, we are nobody to question the decisions of Almighty God.

It was with a heavy heart that I came to know about the passing away of H.H. Moran Mar Baselios Paulose II, Malankara Metropolitan and Catholicos of the East on Monday the 12th of July 2021. Let me take this opportunity to once again convey my heartfelt condolences on the passing away of a great spiritual leader and express my solidarity to the Malankara Orthodox Church and its members spread all around the world.

The demise of Bava Thirumeni is not only a loss to Malankara Orthodox Church but for the whole humanity. Thirumeni leaves behind a rich legacy of service and compassion and will always be remembered for the benevolence and efforts taken for the welfare of the

poor, downtrodden and suffering in the society. A great spiritual leader with a down-to-earth approach and accessible to all people in their times of need, Thirumeni will always live in all our hearts.

I was really blessed to have a very close relationship with Bava Thirumeni over the years. I remember with gratitude the love and affection shown to me by Thirumeni when we met on different occasions either in the Gulf countries or in India. When I was recovering after undergoing a spinal surgery which was necessitated after my helicopter accident in April this year, I was really blessed to receive numerous calls from Thirumeni. During all such calls, Thirumeni used to enquire about the progress of my health and assured to pray for me which was really comforting.

Bava Thirumeni used to visit me at my residence in Abu Dhabi during the visits to UAE. During such times, I used to invite other religious leaders and dignitaries including H.E. The Religious Advisor of H.H. The President of UAE to my residence. This is for their acquaintance and interactions. After such meetings, the other leaders used to praise highly about Thirumeni’s humility and love for mankind.

I visited Parumala in December 2018, to receive ‘Snehasparsam’ Award from the blessed hands of Thirumeni. I also consider it as a great privilege to be a part of the works of St. Gregorious Medical Mission Multi-Speciality Hospital and International Cancer Care Centre in Parumala. During that time, I could personally see the large-heartedness and efforts of Thirumeni for those poor and suffering in the society. During a function organized to inaugurate the cancer wards in the hospital which was constructed in memory of my late parents, Thirumeni referred to me as the Joseph mentioned in the Holy Bible which I will always remember. His Holiness also gave me a portrait of my late parents as a present during that function which deeply touched me.

The passing away of His Holiness who was a great spiritual leader is not only a loss to the Malankara Orthodox church but to all humanity. His Holiness has shown us a path to help the poor and downtrodden and thereby be a blessing to our society. Let us try to follow it with all our heart.

I sincerely pray Almighty grant peace to the noble departed spiritual leader whose life was a blessing to countless people all around the world. I also pray Almighty grant the strength and courage to all Malankara Orthodox church members to bear this irreparable loss.
