Real Women Makeup EYE SHADOW APPLICATION CHART - 5 ASIAN EYES GENERAL TIPS To fully understand and benefit from your eye chart, please refer to the Step By Step Guide on my website, read the entire eyes section. The eye chart that I have provided below is the most suitable application for your eyes. I have assessed the bone structure through the crease of your eyes, which helps me decide which shape eye shadow application will work best to enhance your eyes. Using these elements, I am able to asses where your light and dark shades need to be applied, for the most flattering illusion for your eyes. I do not asses your eye area by looking at your eye colour. I will refer to the: C: lash line B: crease A: brow bone area for chart number 5. It is important you know exactly where each area is, in order to apply your highlighter and shading in the correct place. Although your chart is the best possible illusion for your eyes – it does not mean you are restricted to this application. Have fun with your make-up, and stick to this chart when you really want your eyes to look their best. You can adapt how dark or light you would like your eye shadow to be according to the time of day and the occasion. You can also take into account how much illusion you want to create on your eyes by choosing the depth of shade = the darker your shading the stronger the illusion will be - so black, grey and chocolate brown will create a strong illusion, where as beige and lighter softer shades create less illusion. If you would like to use more that one shading colour, make sure the darker shade is applied near your lashes working up wards. Blend the lighter of the two shades from the top area of the crease towards the highlighter under the brow bone. Also remember if your eye shadow is matte it creates a more effective ‘pushing back’/shaping illusion on the eyes. “Shimmery” eye shadow A B C

EYE SHADOW APPLICATION CHART - 5

ASIAN EYES

GENERAL TIPS

To fully understand and benefit from your eye chart, please refer to the Step By Step Guide on my website, read the entire eyes section.

Have fun

catches the light and creates less ‘pushing back’/shaping illusion. Highlighters are used to create the illusion of ‘pulling forward’; shimmer highlighters actually create a great ‘pulling forward’ illusion. The colours or shades you choose can also be adapted to suit your age and personality. Neutral shades create more ‘pushing back’/shaping illusion, where as colours look lively and fun. On older eyes colour can make the eyes look tired and swollen. SMOKEY EYE The smoky eye make-up application works on most eyes for a modern and sexy look. Smoky eyes can be applied during the day or in the evening, just adapt your choice of shades – during the day opt for smoky greys and medium browns. In the evening select deep shades of plum/brown, charcoal grey, chocolate brown or black. For small eyes the smoky look will make your eyes look smaller. However defining your eyes with a smoky look may out weigh eye size when you want to create a smouldering sexy look. For example, Actress Lucy Liu has small eyes and often wears the smoky look and her eyes look enhanced and defined. She also wears a more natural eye make-up application so her eyes look less defined. The choice of eye shadow application is yours, as long as you are always aware of the application that is best suited to your eyes. Refer to the smokey eyes section on my website, under Top Tips.

YOUR PERSONAL EYE SHADOW APPLICATION – CHART 5:

You will use a highlighter and a deeper shade on your eyes. Highlighters are generally white or cream and shades there of. Eye shadows are usually neutral shades of browns and greys or colours if you are feeling

more adventurous. Many different images have been used to show you how to apply your eye shadow.

Step 1: After concealing and powdering your eye area – apply highlighter under your eyebrow bone. By highlighting you enhance the bone, creating the illusion of lift. Step 2: Apply eye shadow onto your lash line area and up towards the crease area.

Step 3: Now blend your eye shadow shade through the crease of your eyes. Make sure the shadow travels through your crease area and slightly above – so when your eyes are open the eye shadow ‘grows’ up and out of the crease area.

When your eyes are open this is how your eye shadow should look. Notice how the darker eye shadow ‘grows’ up and out of the crease area, onto the area of your eyes that needs to be ‘pushed back’ and shaped. If you would like your eyes to look bigger and more open – apply white eyeliner pencil inside your eyes and avoid brown and black pencil inside the eyes. To complete the look you will need to use

mascara. If you would like to widen your eye area use false lashes to create an opening lifting look. Please refer to your eyeliner chart to see which eyeliner application is best suited to your eyes. Additional comments:
