Selected Projects from Past & Present CHELSEA HIGHLIGHTS 2010 A fantastic Chelsea, which showcased some inspiring planting schemes: Andy Sturgeon's harmonious but brave blend of Mediterranean, Southern hemisphere and English plants; Mark Gregory's garden for The Children's Society with its unusual thyme covered canopy; and Roger Platt's design with elements of the quintessential English garden. And the Oak Leaf Gates stand, with planting designs by Exterior Architecture, which won a Certificate of Merit. www.exteriorarchitecture.com PRIVATE RESIDENCE, OXON All plans have been approved and work has started on site at this private hall in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside. The designs for the landscaping combine traditional elements such as a formal lawn terrace, vegetable & flower gardens, orchard and an avenue of trees with a contemporary patio, tennis pavillion and pool area to create a stunning 40,000m sq private garden. www.exteriorarchitecture.com WANAKA, NZ A contemporary New Zealand lodge with landscape design by EA. What was once rough pasture land has been transformed into an outside living space with tennis court, pool and terrace. A soft contoured sloping grass bank and a sympathetic choice of planting (native shrubs, emergent tree species, tussocks and grasses) enhance the natural wilderness within which the house is set.
