eXPRESS LEE COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE TO BE HELD IN OPELIKA’S DOWNTOWN SQUARE Relay For Life will be held on April 26 in downtown Opelika around the historic Courthouse Square. The move was made due to construction at Southern Union State Community College. To date, 53 teams friends, businesses and community partners have been formed, but it’s not too late to form a team and start fundraising. The goal of the 2013 Relay For Life of Lee County is 70 teams raising $150,000. To register a team, contact Valeri White, team development chair, at (334) 787-7290, or visit Relayforlife.org/LeeAL. OPCE TO OFFER FLY FISHING COURSE Enjoy the most intriguing segment of sport angling - fly fishing. Participants will learn fly selection, knot tying, fly casting, fish finding, fly presentation, and fish fighting. The course will cover fly fishing for local warm water species, stream and river fishing for cold water species, and salt water fly fishing. Newly acquired skills taught in the classroom will be practiced on the water during the last class. Pre-college students, 13 years of age and older, may take the class only if accompanied by a parent. Instruction is provided by a professional fly fishing guide/instructor who is a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor. All materials are provided by the instructor. New this year is a kids obstacle course and other special activities for children. Register online at http:// juniorleagueofleecounty.com . Cost for the walk/run is $20; 10 and under participate free. Registration for the obstacle course (limited to ages 4-12) is $15 and includes a t-shirt and medal.
