The move was made due to construction at Southern Union State Community College. To date, 53 teams – friends, businesses and community partners – have been formed, but it’s not too late to form a team and start fundraising. The course will cover fly fishing for local warm water species, stream and river fishing for cold water species, and salt water fly fishing. Newly acquired skills taught in the classroom will be practiced on the water during the last class. Pre-college students, 13 years of age and older, may take the class only if accompanied by a parent. Instruction is provided by a professional fly fishing guide/instructor who is a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor. All materials are provided by the instructor.
