After, according to all relevant indicators, successful
completion of last year’s international Fair cycle, this triptych -
construction, water and energy, begins another, we are convinced,
successful season of Fairs, sinceAD “Adriatic fair” Budva has put
all its eff orts into it.
“This year’s series of Fairs, without doubt, deserves special
attention
for several reasons,” – the Director of the Adriatic Fair, PhD
Rajko Bujkovic, emphasised in his welcome speech, and
explained:“The Civil Engineering Fair with a tradition across 38
years; the international character of the Fair, which brings
together 114 direct and indirect exhibitors this time; over half,
or 55% of whom who are new to the trade Fair platform, to
communicate with the market of Montenegro “.
All these facts testify to the eff orts and success of the
Adriatic Fair Administration to ensure the quality of exhibition
events and to contribute to the business internationalisation of
companies in Montenegro.Certainly, this is an opportunity to invite
companies from Montenegro to visit the Fair and establish
relationships that can contribute to the internationalisation of
their

business and better utilisation of resources available in
Montenegro “- Bujkovic said. The Charge d’Aff aires of the Czech
Republic Embassy, Peter Smejke,l expressed his delight at the
opportunity to welcome present participants, guests and media
representatives on behalf of the Embassy of the Czech Republic and
especially to the Administration of Adriatic Fair which is
particularly thanked for enabling Czech companies to exhibit solely
at this Fair, for the second consecutive time. “I also want to
thank the company “Integra” and the agency CzechTrade” Mr. Izudin
Gusmirovic as the lead who organised the participation of Czech
exhibitors both last year and this, at the Adriatic Fair in
Budva.“The most important project is the construction of the second
phase of the thermal power plant in Pljevlja, where the Czech
company “Skoda Praha” was chosen as the contractor, and will soon
come to fruition.Another signifi cant project I want to mention on
this occasion is very important in the fi eld of energy, the
acquisition of Niksic company “Metalac”, which was bought by Czech
company “Termochem”
and will soon start production in this area. There are also
projects related to renewable energy and the construction of small
hydro power plants in which Czech companies are also involved, said
Gusmirovic and invited attendees to visit the entire Fair, and
especially the 14 Czech companies.Fronted by the Ministry of
Sustainable Development and Tourism, 38th Construction Fair, the
11th Exhibition of Water, water supply and sanitation technologies
and the 4th Energy Fair was offi cially opened by the Head of the
Directorate for Construction - Directorate for Strategic
Development of Civil Engineering Tatjana Vujosevic, BSc. ing.
construction:Bearing in mind that Construction is a driving force
of economic development in the country, the Government is making
great eff orts to improve the business environment and create
better conditions for investment. As tourism is one of the strategic
branches of the Montenegrin economy, based only on the information
on the issued building permits for construction of hotels and
resorts, we see that there is a growing interest by investors
in
the construction of high quality hotels, which means that our
eff orts to improve the business environment are bearing fruit
Vujosevic said. When it comes to the launch of the Construction
sector, Tatjana Vujosevic said that initiation of the highway
Bar-Boljare is very signifi cant in terms of overall economic
development, since if there is no connection with the region and
further with the European Union, then the opportunities for further
development are limited.“In addition to building permits for the
construction of the highway, the Ministry this year issued a
building permit for the construction of major infrastructure
facilities such as the construction of an undersea cable facility
for the transmission of electricity through Montenegro, mini hydro
power plants, transmission lines, substations, roads of diff erent
categories, etc., with the estimated value of
€410,890,585.Construction of the fi rst wind powerplants is almost
complete, so we may say major steps in this sector were made in a
transitional period and its contribution to the overall development
of the country “ said Vujosevic. She emphasised that the Ministry is
actively working on the harmonisation of national legislation with
EU legislation in this fi eld. Drafts of technical regulations for
diff erent types of building structures have been prepared and
submitted to the professionals for public opinion and suggestions,
the application of the Law on Construction Products, which lays
down conditions for placing construction products on the market
should start 01.01.2017 and adoption of the Eurocodes is in
progress regarding construction

standards for the design of structures.“On the other hand,
Montenegro is one of the 4% of the world’s territory with the
highest average run-off water, and even 95.3% of watercourses in
Montenegro are formed in Montenegro, and we can rightfully claim
that water is our greatest natural resource,” Vujosevic said and
added that, from the standpoint of sustainable development,
priorities of utmost importance are the provision of suffi cient
quantities of safe drinking water, eff ective water control and a
reduction in water pollution, and reducing the generation of waste
and its negative impact on human health and the environment.
“Taking this into account, I take the opportunity to point out
that in almost all municipalities of Montenegro activities
addressing the issue of waste water and water supply are carried
out and in the last 10 years signifi cant funds (over €300 million)
were invested in order to revise this area” Vujosevic
said.Completed important projects were emphasised: regional water
supply for the Montenegrin coast, the construction of wastewater
treatment in Budva, Kotor and Tivat, Niksic, Mojkovac and Zabljak
and those currently under construction, such as Wastewater
treatment facility in Herceg Novi, Berane and Savnik. Regarding the
Fair in Budva, Mrs. Vujosevic
said that it is one of the most important economic meetings in
Montenegro and the region. “As you can see from the programme and
list of exhibitors of the fair, AD “Adriatic Fair“ has once again
gathered a large number of exhibitors from home and abroad. With
the hope that you will, during the fi ve days of the event, bring
all the best impressions, as well as the co-operation among the
businessmen in this fi eld will be further expanded and
strengthened, I declare 38th Civil Engineering Fair, 11th
Water-Water Supply Systems-Sanitary Technologies Fair and 4th
Energy Fair in Budva offi cialy open“- PhD Tatjana Vujosevic said
after which a Fair tour followed.
AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF FINLAND AT THE ADRIATIC FAIR
His Excellency the Ambassador of Finland in Belgrade, Perti
Ikonen, and the Economic Advisor at the Embassy of Finland, Igor
Madžarević, have recently visited the Adriatic Fair in Budva and,
during conversation with Rajko Bujković, Ph.D, Assistant Professor
and Director of the Fair, they were informed on currently held Fair
of Construction, Water and Energy, as well as forthcoming Trade
Fairs.
The Ambassador of Finland expressed his particular interest
in
the participation of businessmen from the Czech Republic at the
Fair, as well as his interest in Finnish company representatives
paying an organised visit to Adriatic Fair. Ambassador Ikonen
believes such Trade Fair events are interesting international
platforms that can signifi cantly promote business co-operation and
additionally internationalise the business activity of companies in
Montenegro.

The forthcoming Management Board session of the Central European
Fair Alliance (CEFA) will be focusing on several important issues
including the report on CEFA activities in 2016, as well as the
agreement on CEFA events calendar for 2017. Several cities that
normally host various Trade Fairs and are also members of CEFA
(comprising 24 organisations) will host the traditional meetings of
CEFA members in 2017 (Munich, Pordenone, Tirana). The Italian city
of Pordenone and its Trade Fair management will organise the Second
CEFA Football cup. Defi nitely the most important part of the
Budva-based Management
Session programme will comprise of information exchange between
members on innovative solutions in the exhibition industry and the
focus will also be on an exchange of experiences and best
practices. It is important to highlight the fact that CEFA
organises seminars for young managers employed by Trade Fair
operators annually. Such training is intended to enhance the
quality of organisational and marketing services. Moreover, it is
important to point out that this reputable organisation is an
associate
member of UFI, as well as that UFI membership is a prerequisite
for the enrolment of individual Trade Fair organiser in UFI. CEFA
primarily insists on the importance of transparency in the
operation of its members and expects them to have their operational
data regularly audited by certifi ed auditors. The Adriatic Fair
will host the Management Board session and the venue of the meeting
will be Budva Hotel. Furthermore, CEFA Management Board session
will be yet another opportunity to provide key stakeholders in the
Event Industry with a comprehensive insight into the potential of
the Montenegro Riviera
ADRIATIC FAIR TO HOST THE CEFA MANAGEMENT BOARD SESSION
Two roundtable discussions, organised by the Engineers Chamber
of Montenegro, have recently been held at the Adriatic Fair
addressing two important issues: “Harmonisation of the Ordinance on
the Content of a Part of Technical Documentation in the Domain of
Fire Protection with European Directives and Standards” and
“Hydromorphological Changes, Water Management and Environmental
Protection in Accordance with the EU Concepts”. The moderator was
the Secretary General of the Engineers Chamber of Montenegro,
Svetislav Popović, LL.B., who emphasised “concerning the fi rst
topic, we are currently far from providing general solutions, yet
there are already directives and recommendations from the European
Union that
defi ne fi re protection. Regarding this aspect, a decision was
reached at the Engineers Chamber of Montenegro to address this
issue comprehensively and hence the preparation of the Ordinance
that was at the focus of attention of this roundtable discussion.
Health and Safety legislation prescribes the issue of fi re
protection equipment only to a limited degree and this issue has
not been comprehensively elaborated through Ordinances and
additional legislation concerning the quality of fi re protection
and the fundamental rules and requirements that need to be met by
this profession and the actual state-of-aff airs as prescribed by
the European Union. The second roundtable discussion addressed the
issues of water protection, which is considered a global
problem, and we were striving to tackle it through professions
and chamber members involved in water protection. A wide range of
lectures addressed the issues of protection of both water and water
resources which was also the topic of this session. “It is not a
matter of discussion and agreement. Water protection is
fundamental, yet unfortunately, we, as a profession, are currently
still rather far away from accepting it”, concluded Popović.

CZECH PRACTICE AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE FIELD OF WATER SYSTEMS
Executive director of “Zikmund Electronics“ Michal Neumann spoke
about experiences in the water and sewage systems sectors in the
Czech Republic, which they wish to pass on to businessmen in
Montenegro at the fi rst presentation titled “Water supplies and
sewage in Czech Republic“, held at the Adriatic Fair. “Aqueducts
and sewage systems in our country belong to Public Utility
Companies and are supported by municipalities, which has proven to
be a good thing as companies funds are invested in further
development of the system. In the past, we did not have very good
practices in certain municipalities by privatising these services,
because the price increased greatly, but money was not invested in
infrastructure. Currently, Public Utility Companies have their own
budget which is being used intentionally, the price paid by
citizens is being gradually increased and investment being
implemented which were suggested fi rstly by Czech
Republic, and then the European Union” said Neumann. When
questioned how they solved the problem of waste water in Czech
Republic, he said:“The issue of waste water in the Czech Republic
is relatively well settled and in comparison with other countries
of Central and Eastern Europe, according to all indicators, we are
approaching Western European countries, such as Austria and
Germany. A lot of facilities for waste water treatment were built
with primary, secondary and tertiary treatment.“He said that the
second presentation was interesting and useful for many
reasons:“The second presentation was a concrete example of an
interesting technology, such as camera
systems for inspection of sewer, or detection of network losses.
When you start improving the system, you must identify where the
problems are, and one of these technologies off ers just
that.“Regarding co-operation with the Adriatic Fair, Mr. Neumann
said:“As far as co-operation in Montenegro and countries in the
region, the Adriatic Fair is a great place and we are satisfi ed
with the visit to our stands.”
For the Craftsmen of Zagreb, at the Adriatic Fair in Budva, the
owner of “installation Grabarevic” Sinisa Grabarevic gave a brief
presentation, in which he presented the craftsmen from Zagreb and
explained who they are, what they do and what they off er to the
market and its business partners. What we do, among other things,
is installation of
water, sewer and gas, heating and air conditioning, installation
of water and equipment and ducts for heating, ventilation and
cooling in buildings and other building facilities. The ambiance of
this international Fair was used for this presentation, hoping to
make some contacts and raise business cooperation to a new level,
and the Adriatic Fair is the right place for it “ Grabarevic
said.

EXPO TROPHY AWARD 2016 38TH CIVIL ENGINEERING FAIR, 11TH WATER
FAIR AND 4TH ENERGY FAIR
AD Adriatic Fair, in order to encourage market communication,
consumer education, marketing and advertising presentation of
products, awards the most successful exhibitors with EXPO TROPHY,
according to the expert jury. The jury is composed of:1. RANKO
PAVIĆEVIĆ, President2. MAJA ĐURIĆ, member3. MOMČILO STOJANOVIĆ,
member
After detailed examination of the exhibitors this year, at the
38th Civil Engineering Fair, 11th Water-Water Supply-Sanitary
Technologies and 4th Energy Fair jury at the meeting held on
21.09.2016. adopted the following:
D E C I S I O NThe jury has decided to give awards to the
following exhibitors:
Only a fortunate few can manage to fully harmonise functionality
and practical usability of a product and the services they provide,
as well as the subtle aesthetics of their presentation. This
exhibitor is involved in the processing of architectural stone for
facades, fl ooring, interiors, exteriors, mosaics and other areas
of use of processed and aesthetic stone. This exhibition stand was
designed in an exceptional way, aiming to attract maximum attention
of visitors and could
hence not be ignored. The exhibitor managed to deliver a
harmonious and appealing presentation, as well as to provide an
overview of a broad range of practical uses of the stone processed
by
the company. If promotion is considered an integral part of the
marketing mix intended to attract attention and convincingly point
out the competitive advantages of a specifi c product or a service
provided, then the appearance of the exhibitors Progres from Nikšić
at this year’s Budva-based Adriatic Fair is an excellent
interpretation of a true symbiosis of aesthetics and functionality
or the beautiful and the useful. It has to be admitted that this is
frequently not the case.
This aluminium metalwork producer has used the available
exhibition space expertly and in an intelligent manner, striving to
present products to potential users in a clear and a highly
appealing way. The products presented are fundamental against the
backdrop of contemporary conditions in construction of both
residential and commercial facilities. The exhibitor delivered an
harmonious
presentation of its product range as a result of a carefully
planned concept that included a wide range of segments and details.
The presentation was delivered in an adequate and appealing manner,
ranging from the organisation of the available exhibition space, to
design and both attractive and useful promotional materials. The
success was primarily due to the focus on customer requirements
and the immense eff ort invested to satisfy their interests and
needs, which is imperative in the marketing concept.

The available exhibition space covered 56m2 and the exhibitor
skilfully presented the products and services to potential users.
The product range comprised of various heating devices and systems
by reputable international brands that are in accordance with the
strictest contemporary standards due to their potential and top
quality. The competitive advantage of this exhibitor
was the fact that the company provided several original
features to the systems which were actually original products.
There are currently only a few companies in our country that can
independently provide original products that are on a par with the
contemporary achievements of international producers in any area.
Moreover, the high quality and diverse promotional materials also
infl uenced the decision of the expert panel.
The exhibition space available covered an area of 100m2. 14
companies owned by this exhibitor provided all interested partners
with diverse business opportunities.Only the strong and the capable
are aware of the fact that big players require the least
opportunity to achieve great business results. Underestimating
business opportunities is primarily
a result of a lack of insight into the true nature and the real
market laws. Czech Trade has yet another year managed to skilfully
present a successful use of the latest strategy of holistic
marketing that is currently imperative throughout the market
segments. The company succeeded in transcending the boundaries
between the local and the global, as well as between the
regional
and the universal and hence its role at the fair was
crucial.
THIRD PRIZE – BRONZE PLAQUE conferred to the exhibitor:ENING
D.O.O. – Nikšić
The Adriatic Fair conferred a special EXPO TROPHY award to the
exhibitor:CZECH TRADE – CZECH TRADE PROMOTION AGENCY –
Podgorica
BETON LUČKO-Lučko, Croatia
BELGRADE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE -Serbia
This exhibitor has convincingly shown the ability to present its
product range in a rational, and eff ective manner, aiming to
illustrate through its presentation to have clearly identifi ed its
target market and maximally achieved indispensable harmony between
its own potential and ambitions. The appearance of this company at
this year’s Adriatic Fair can provide an illuminating insight on
the fact that the marketing concept and the marketing strategy do
not necessarily need to be expensive and pretentious.
If one considered, primarily, quantitative indicators, the
appearance of this exhibitor at this year’s Adriatic Fair would
probably not attract particular attention. Nevertheless,
quantitative analysis provided considerably diff erent results.
Irrespective of the fact that this association of producers
originating from the capital of Serbia, that is the most densely
populated country in the region, it did not bring together a large
number of its members at the Fair, yet it showed, extremely
impressively, a consistent use of an active participation
strategy. The idea behind this strategy is presence, whenever it is
feasible, throughout venues and
opportunities where business contacts can be established leading
to potential signing of new contracts. The exhibitor Belgrade
Chamber of Commerce is an excellent example and a confi rmation of
this business axiom and the decision reached by the expert panel to
confer them a prize is a gesture of acknowledgement and support for
such a considerate and enlightening business move.

To the fair with success No. 117 Preparations for participation
at
autumn Fair events are currently underway and we have been
focusing on the issue of how to best exploit the communication
potential of such events. Our company considers participation at
events as the integration of marketing communication in real time.
What is essential in order to provide a deeper insight into the
issue of communication? I recommend refreshing
your memory on one of the defi nitions and that is considering
trade fairs as clusters of communication forms. Firstly, remember
to rely on TRADITIONAL forms of communication. Furthermore, trade
fairs imply LIVE communication. VIRTUAL communication is
currently
imperative in the previously mentioned cluster form.
What else is important in defi ning communication tasks? It is
fundamental to consider
trade fairs as multi-functional communication platforms. I
suggest considering some of the solutions provided during the
previous editions.
Is there a general reminder
on what features to combine/
include in communication projects? We suggest to consider
and
apply as follows: a. classical advertising as a feature of Trade
Fair appearance,b. public relations,c. sponsorship, as well as
direct marketing.Assign tasks for your team to individually provide
answers to questions on the opportunities of use of each of the
previously mentioned features in the creation of a communication
mix.
