Wainfleet, Ontario A retreat that welcomes leaders, health care professionals, clergy, teachers, and anyone curious as to how to live with authenticity and integrity. This retreat will feature the Clearness Committee discernment process to deepen listening skills and explore open, honest questions. The Circle of Trust ® process is based on the work of Parker J. Palmer, well known leader in education and activist. Palmer This retreat using the Circle of Trust ® process invites you to focus on life’s possibilities, and to seek clarity about your present questions in a safe, quiet and disciplined circle setting. Individual stories, as well as insights from poets, storytellers or wisdom traditions are used to explore the intersection of one’s personal and professional life. What to Expect Explore the questions and possibilities of your present life Enlarge your ability to listen and be present to yourself and others Improve your capacity to build trustworthy relationships and increase resiliency Experience solitude and community in a Circle of Trust ® Sue Empringham, B.Sc.N., has a nursing background, and years of experience leading small groups, using the Circle of Trust ® model. Sue is a certified facilitator prepared by the Center for Courage and Renewal. She has found courage and renewal principles to be invaluable in day to day challenges and celebrations of life. Sue has facilitated many diverse Circles of Trust®, and is inspired by the sense of wholeness that participants report when a safe space is provided for listening to self and others. Michael Saver, OCT has seventeen years experience as a certified Courage to Teach/Circle of Trust® facilitator, leading programs across the province and in Australia. An educator for 30 years, his experience includes creating and leading professional development programs, pre-service and in-service teacher education, as well as leadership and group facilitation in a variety of contexts. He has published articles about relational trust and collaboration in professional communities.
