    A single or repeated act or lack of appropriate action, occurring within any relationship where there is an expectation of trust, which causes harm or distress to an older person.

  • Types of Abuse Physical Financial Sexual Psychological / Emotional Neglect Discriminatory Institutional

    The term multiple abuse is used to describe situations where two or more types of abuse are occurring simultaneously. In practice it is rare to find one type of abuse occurring in isolation.
