DIGITAL & IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE. BESPOKE INSTALLATION IN ADIDAS ORIGINALS’ LONDON FLAGSHIP STORE TO LAUNCH THE ICONIC DEERUPT SHOE. INTERACTIVE PROJECTION ACTIVATED BY THE HERO PRODUCT IS ACCOMPANIED BY THE WARPED GRID VINYL TAKEOVER, EXTENDING INTO THE WINDOWS AND ACROSS INTO ORIGINALS’ CONCEPT STORE ON HANBURY ST.

LEADING DESIGN ON ALL STAGES OF THIS PROJECT WAS EXTREMELY REWARDING. AMONG MY DUTIES WERE RESPONDING TO THE BRIEF AND GLOBAL GUIDELINES, 3D MODELLING, VISUALISATION AND FULL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT. I HAVE PRODUCED ALL ARTWORK READY FOR PRINT AND BUILT SPECIFICATIONS FOR COSTING. PART OF THE PROCESS INVOLVED LIAISING WITH DIGITAL OUTPUT COMPANY ABOUT THE INTERACTIVITY.

THIS TIME MICHAEL KORS TAKES OVER THE WINDOWS AT LA RINASCENTE DEPARTMENT STORE IN THE HEART OF MILAN. 8 GIANT SCALE 4-METRE TALL DISPLAYS BRING UPTOWN NEW YORK ICONOGRAPHY TO PIAZZA DEL DUOMO. WHITE CLEAN ARCHITECTURE LINES ARE HIGHLIGHTED BY NEON IN KEY SEASONAL COLOURS. ACCOMPANYING LARGE CAMPAIGN LIGHTBOXES IN ALTERNATING WINDOWS.

HAVING THE SOLE CREATIVE REIGN ON THIS PROJECT, I HAVE TAKEN THE “BRING NEW YORK CITY TO MILAN” APPROACH. THIS INVOLVED FULL CONCEPT DESIGN, SKETCHUP MODELLING AND VISUALISATION AS WELL AS CLIENT COMMUNICATION FOR THE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT. ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS WAS OVERSEEING THE PRODUCTION AND SEEING THE WINDOWS IN REAL LIFE DAY AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED.

3RD YEAR MAJOR DESIGN PROJECT, EQUIVALENT TO BA. REDEVELOPMENT AND CONVERSION OF A LOCAL WAREHOUSE INTO CONCEPTUAL CO-WORKING COLLECTIVE. THE BOLD GRID SYSTEM BASED ON STATIC LIFT SHAFTS ALLOWS FOR THE GLASS WORKSTATIONS TO BE MODULAR AND ADAPTABLE TO THE NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS. FLEXIBLE, SPACIOUS OPEN PLAN MODERN OFFICE BALANCING THE PRIVACY AND VISIBILITY.

BASING THE CONCEPT ON THEMES FROM MY FAVOURITE BOOK, I HAVE CHOSEN AN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING FOR THE CONVERSION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CONCEPT CO-WORKING SPACE. I HAD CONDUCTED SITE RESEARCH PRIOR TO CONCEPT SKETCHES, EXPLORED MATERIALITY, FLEXIBILITY BY MULTIPLE PHYSICAL MODELS. I HAVE EVEN LEARNED HOW TO WELD AND BUILT THE FINAL MILD STEEL MODEL WITH A CONCRETE CAST BASE.

PERMANENT CONCESSION. BESPOKE POURED CONCRETE Y-3 FOOTWEAR PLINTH WITH INFINITY BASE. Y-3 BRAND CODES ARE TIED TOGETHER WITH ORANGE ILLUMINATED BRANDING AND AMBIENT DOWNLIGHTING. THE MINIMAL CONCRETE BLOCK IS SUPPORTED BY CLEAN ROWS OF BLACK POLES BACKED UP BY MIRROR CREATING THE ILLUSION OF INFINITY.

Y-3 ARE ONE OF MY FAVOURITE CLIENTS DUE TO THEIR EXPERIMENTATION WITH THE MATERIALS. THIS WAS MY CONCEPT DESIGN OF A NEW PERMANENT FOOTWEAR PLINTH, EXPLORING TEXTURES, MATERIALS, INTERLOCKING FORMS AND INCORPORATING OPTICAL ILLUSIONS. AFTER DEVELOPMENT OF THE FINAL DESIGN, I HAVE ALSO ASSISTED TECHNICAL TEAM ON THE PRODUCTION DRAWINGS AND MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS.

TENNIS COURT IS TRANSPORTED INTO HANBURY STREET STORE FOR PALACE’S COLLABORATION WITH ADIDAS. CELEBRATING THE ICONOCLASTIC TENNIS TOURNAMENT WIMBLEDON; MARKED ASTROTURF AND A WREATH FLOWER BED IS ACCOMPANIED BY DECKCHAIRS, LUSCIOUS GREENERY AND BALL BASKETS FOR THIS IN-STORE TAKEOVER.

THIS TIME I HAD SUCCESSFULLY ANSWERED AN OPEN BRIEF - GIVEN ONLY THE TENNIS CODES. INITIAL CONCEPT DESIGN INCLUDED OPTION EXPLORING THE TENNIS COURT AS A HANGING BACKDROP, WHICH WAS BROUGHT FORWARD. I HAVE PRODUCED PAINT GUIDELINES FOR ASTROTURF. I ALSO PROVIDED THE SCALED DESIGN FOR TAKE-DOWN OPTIONS FOR GLOBAL GUIDELINES FOR TOKYO, PARIS AND NYC LOCATIONS.

MASTER OF DESIGN FINAL PROJECT. REDEVELOPMENT OF A LOCAL SITE AFTER THE DEMOLITION OF NEW WALK CENTRE SEMI-BRUTALIST TOWERS. USING ITS RECYCLED CONCRETE, CREATING AN OPPORTUNITY A MUCH NEEDED URBAN SPACE IN THE CITY CENTRE. ENCLOSED WINTER GARDENS SCHEME WITH BOLD CONCRETE WALKWAYS AND INNOVATIVE HYDROPONICS SYSTEM ALLOWING THE SPACE TO SERVE AS AN ART GALLERY.

AFTER RESEARCHING THE PUBLIC DEMAND FOR AN URBAN SPACE, I HAVE EXPLORED MY FAVOURITE THEMES INCLUDING HYDROPONICS, BRUTALISM AND ART INDUSTRY. I HAD LUCK TO BE INVOLVED IN SITE VISITS AND COMMUNICATION WITH DEVELOPERS. SKETCHES, RESEARCH, CONCEPT DESIGN, 3D MODELLING AS WELL AS TECHNICAL DRAWINGS AND ACTUAL PHYSICAL MODEL WERE PART OF THIS WONDERFUL DESIGN JOURNEY.

BEAUTY SECTOR. 360O INTERACTIVE DIGITAL PLINTHS WITH FRAGRANCE TESTERS DIVIDE THE SPACE WHILE ROTATING GIANT FACTICES OF HERO PRODUCTS TAKE CENTRE STAGE IN THIS BOLD TRAVELLING POP-UP SHOP. THE BACKWALL WITH THE ILLUMINATED THUNDERING LIGHTNING BOLT CREATES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A SELFIE MOMENT AS WELL AS DISPLAYING LARGE DOUBLE-SIDED LIGHTBOXES WITH THE CAMPAIGN IMAGERY.

I HAVE STARTED THE DESIGN WITH MOODBOARDING INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCES AND CAME WITH AN IDEA OF 360O DIGITAL PLINTH. SKETCHING FOR BOTH FRAGRANCES, THIS ALLOWED FOR DIVISION OF THE SPACE. WATERCOLOUR SKETCHES WERE TRANSLATED INTO 3D AND DEVELOPED IN SKETCHUP. THE FINAL CONCEPT WAS SEND IN A PRESENTATION SHOWCASING THE INTERACTION AS WELL AS DETAILS OF THE SITE.

GLOBAL GUIDELINE TOOLKIT. FOR THEIR FALL WINTER 2017 CAMPAIGN, Y-3 SHOWCASES THEIR HERO PRODUCT ON A CLEAN, MINIMALISTIC, HOT ROLLED STEEL CRESCENT FIXTURE. BALANCING THE MERCHANDISE ON THE MAIN STAGE, THE CRESCENT IS TAILORED TO MULTIPLE FLAGSHIP STORES, INCLUDING LONDON, NEW YORK, MIAMI AND TOKYO LOCATIONS.

FOLLOWED BY SKETCHUP MODELLING, VISUALISATION, THE DEVELOPED DESIGN WAS TAILORED TO ALTERNATIVE SITES. WITHIN MY SKILLS WAS ALSO A PRODUCTION OF FULL GUIDELINE TOOLKIT, INCLUDING TECHNICAL DRAWINGS, STEP BY STEP INSTALLATION AND MERCHANDISING SUGGESTIONS.
