What God is going to do

❑ At midnight I will go out among all of Egypt and the firstborn of every man and beast will die

❑ From Pharaoh to the slaves❑ A GREAT CRY WILL BE HEARD!❑ Israel will be spared❑ The Egyptians will beg Israel to leave

• Ex 6:1 ¶ Then the LORD said to Moses, "Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand he will let them go, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”

The Exodus

❑Pharaoh sent word to Moses, GET OUT!❑Israel is driven out

❑Egyptians learned who God is! ❑Leave or we will all be dead

❑They asked their neighbors for silver, gold and clothing.

❑The Lord had given them favor in the sight of the people so they plundered Egypt as they left!

❑Israel Traveled From Rameses to Succoth❑600,000 men❑Plus women and children❑Plus livestock

❑Israel had lived in Egypt 430 years (Gen. 15:13)

❑Observe this feast every year (when God has given you the land)

❑ It is a night of solemn observance to the LORD for bringing them out of the land of Egypt

❑All firstborns are “set apart”❑Use this to teach your children❑It shall be a sign on your hand and between your

eyes

❑God led by a pillar of Cloud by day and Fire by night

❑Pharaoh and his servants say “what have we done?”❑They have lost their mind❑Let’s go get them❑This is done to show God’s Power

❑That Egypt will “KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD”❑600 chariots all the chariots of Egypt
