Exodus 40 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.

They have been gone from Egypt approximately one yearone year.

They have been at Mount SinaiMount Sinai for over eight months of that time.

Allowing for the time Moses was on the Mounton the Mount and God was dealingGod was dealing with them in other ways,

It took a bit over six monthssix months to build it all.

When the hearts of numbers are earnestearnest in a good cause, much may be done in a short time; and when the Commandments of God are continually continually attended toattended to, as the rule of working, all will be done well.

God told Moses what to do and how to do it.

The people responded with willing hearts.

They did all that God commanded.

Exodus 40 34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the Glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

God has returned into their midst as He promised.

Romans 8 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

The devildevil can throw everything that he has against us; lifelife can slam us with sorrow, poverty, sickness and pain.

36And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys: 37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up. 38 For the CloudCloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and FireFire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

When the CloudCloud moved, they moved.

When the CloudCloud stopped, they stopped.

Every Word of God is pure and to be obeyed for our own benefit and blessing.

Come to God through Jesus Christ to receive eternal life --

Sin always destroysSin always destroys; God warns us against it for that reasonreason.

Let's live as GodGod teaches us to live, that we will be blessed.

He will nevernever leave us nor forsake us, and in His Presence we willwe will be satisfied.

All our needs He will provide.

When we walk with the Lord in the Light of His Word

What a Glory He sheds on our way.

While we do His Good Will He abides with us still,

And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey, for there's no other way,

To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
