Review of IT education curriculums
From the comparison, course units need to be removed, new ones introduced and existing ones changed. These were discussed and enumerated in a report submitted to VP Academics.
A new course offering on Research Preparation, Creation and Publication.
ONLY course titles in the curriculums were compared , not down to each course units syllabi.
In support of a revised curriculum, I recommend to
Setup a network with servers that will be used for lab on applied technology courses (i.e. network , database and system administration)
Review of IT education curriculums
Get synergies in place amongst Computer Science department, PSU’s ICT Centre , other PSU colleges and other universities at Puerto Princesa
Create an IT faculty development plan.
