PROCESSING UNITS ESTABLISHED

IN MEGA FOOD PARK

MULTI FRUIT JUICE PROCESSING LINE Largest integrated juice line in the world handling multiple fruits – Amla (Indian

Gooseberry), Aloe Vera leaves, carrots, wheat grass, mangoes, bottle gourd (lauki), bitter gourd (karela), tomatoes etc.

Capacity – 6,000 litres per hour (final product/juice) – up to 400 MTs of raw material can be consumed in a day.

Machinery imported from Alfa Laval, Sweden. Complete floor covered in corrosion resistant polyurethane (since some of the juices

like amla juice (low pH factor) are highly acidic) – total cost ~ Rs. 1.5 Crores (~350,000 USD)

Automatic Filling lines being installed (one in place – the other coming in – total 100 bottles per minute – in a completely automated manner without human touch)

Post Juice Extraction at the Belt Press, the juice is pasteurized to sterilise it and after this it is untouched by human hands.

Bottling happens post addition of preservatives – sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (all within permissible levels)

Once the Aseptic Packaging Unit is fully commissioned, part of the juices would be filled in aseptic packaging without using any preservatives.

Some part of the juice is also being concentrated and kept in the cold storages for out-of-season bottling.

Currently, since the whole process line is not yet streamlined, we pack the juice in aseptic bags post pasteurization (without addition of any preservatives – stays good for 6 months) – and “drum” the same – the drum merely lends support to the aseptic bags and never comes in contact with the juice directly.

Patanjali Food Park is arguably the largest buyer of amla today in India with its requirement for the juice, candy and chyawanprash units.
