For my invention I have decided to create a hand activated automator, basically digital / wireless gloves that control automation in Avid Pro-Tools, this way, you can control your editing by hand, and at a much cheaper cost than that of a rack or a custom time piece. Hardware with faders are not cheap, most people resort to just using a mouse, which is a perfectly fine medium for the mean time. With the passing of time comes improvement, so why not advance ourselves and make something that is available to the masses that would allow for easier automation, something that will raise esomething that will raise efficiency without having to break bank. The concept of this device would be a simple pair of gloves. With each specific movement that one makes with the gloves, will trigger different forms of automation in the program. You could possibly trigger record arm by flicking your thumb, or start latch automation by pressing your middle finger into your palm? If you know anything about automation you know its basically force recording levels for volume, panning, and effects. This device will allow the sound designer / poster audio team to write all levels at more appropriate level to what they need, each finger will auto trigger a mode, as shown in the picture you can notice that by pressing the finger mode you want to the palm of your hand. Doing this will active the mode you want, another cool feature about it is by activating the pan mode you will use both hands, on your opposite hand is a different glove that only has the sensor for detecting the levels when you pan, so its like blocking a only has the sensor for detecting the levels when you pan, so its like blocking a goal in soccer, you should hold your hands out and tap your pinky, then shake the hand to which direction you would like to begin panning, shaking ONLY selects the direction of the pan, then you control your pan as you would each of the other modes. The device will have built in sensors for each of these features, for example, tapping your thumb to the center of the same hand is almost impossible, so the other hand has the center sensor, so that you can tap the center and activate that mode. There are other things that automation does, such as volume and muting, to mute your pretty much clap, which will rub both center palm sensors together causing Pro-Tools to recognize that you want to mute a certain section of a track, it will also allow you to select a portion of the track and by double clapping you can mute a section rather than insert a simple mute.
