Customer Service - Ensure selling staff delivers FAST, FRIENDLY and EFFICIENT service. Train associates in product information and selling techniques. Exhibit personal service skills.

People Management - Recruit and select quality associates. Monitor performance of associates, recognize solid performance, coach and counsel associates.

Assistant Buyer Responsibilities

SALES - Assist Buyer in planning and achieving sales plan.

GROSS MARGIN - Assist Buyer in planning and execution of merchandise plans to achieve gross margin plans.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT - Compile, reconcile and organize information including Monday morning reports, price changes and purchase journals.

Assistant Buyer Responsibilities FINANCIAL PLANNING - Assist Buyer in

development of seasonal plans, assortment plans, stock projections and stock by store analysis.

ADVERTISING - Assist Buyer in planning advertising, coordinate layouts, ad copy, samples, signs and recaps.

TEAMWORK / COMMUNICATION - Develop working relationships, communicate regularly with vendors, Distribution Center, coordinators and stores to accomplish merchandising goals.
