Our stage 5 students are currently in Dubbo for their end of year excursion with Miss Jedrzejak and Mr Meikle. The students have worked hard through- out the year and have earned their alternate learning experience. As part of our transion program year 6 students and their parents are invited to aend an informaon session next Wednesday 7 th December from 6:00pm in the school library. This evening will involve members of Bourke High School teaching staff and represents an invaluable opportunity to ask any quesons you or your child may have regarding their move into Secondary Educaon. Light refreshments will be served on the night. Our annual Bourke High School presentaon night will be held in our MPC on Thursday 8 th December at 6:00pm. These nights are always an enjoyable way to showcase and acknowledge the many wonderful educaonal experiences and achievements which regularly occur here in Bourke High School. Our Wellbeing 4 Excellence team will be hosng their rewards night on Tues- day 13 th December at Bourke Swimming Pool. This night will recognise all of those students who have displayed a consistent approach to their learning in term 4 while also maintaining a high level of aendance. There are a number of other changes happening at Bourke High School includ- ing some new teaching faces (watch this space). Also, as a school we have worked very hard along with parents and carers to establish two new support classes at the school. We see this as the best way to support our students who have specialised learning needs. Through their inclusion in smaller classes with specialist, qualified teacher help students will be able to engage more fully with their learning in a more supporve environment which caters to their in- dividual needs. If any community member would like some more informaon on this process or benefits to students please don’t hesitate to contact me. Andrew Ryder
