Agriculture & Natural Resources • The Committee this month was briefed by Tom Sell of Combest, Sell and Associates on the impact
on agriculture of current trade issues, such as the U.S. Mexico Canada Trade Agreement and proposed tariff increases on Mexico.
Transportation • The Committee this month was briefed by Ed Mortimer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on the
outlook for a federal transportation and infrastructure bill. • We are working to collect input from Lubbock businesses regarding air travel needs and preferred
routes in preparation for outreach visits with airlines later this year including the Chamber and Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope.
