Making Your Twitter Account Shine:

Use a program like Hootsuite to help manage your tweets Allows you to keep your chapter Facebook, Twitter,

LinkedIn, and other accounts on the same window and in one place.

Allows you to write posts/tweets and automatically schedule them for delivery at a specific time

(This is especially handy when you’re in class or asleep and want to send something at a specific time!)

Make sure your Twitter handle is clear and concise. If your handle is really long, then it takes up room in the

Where to Share:

Facebook is more suited for.. Large albums of pictures compiled post-event Long announcements Creating events (recruitment weeks, service events, sectionals,

etc!)

Twitter is more suited for… One or two images taken in the middle of an event Short announcements under 140 characters Promoting events in visually interesting ways (and getting them to

visit the full event page!)

Sharing on both is usually a great idea. Just remember to customize your message for each platform! Some individuals may follow you on all of your social media, so don’t clog up a homepage with multiple copies of an identical message.
