IAAS Indonesia’s Local Committees. The content of the catalogue will tell you some stories which were coming

from the member of IAAS Indonesia and IAAS World. Some of them will tell you their exchange and internship

stories. The other side of the papers brings you to the places the information about the hosting place all over the

world. As we have known before, IAAS Indonesia conducted the annual program which is called “Exchange

Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Bogor Agricultural University

Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science has 5 departments :

1) Department of Living Aquatic Resources Management (MSP)

The internee will be able to plan, to perform and to evaluate: management and conservation of aquatic ecosystem, and

management of fisheries resources.

2) Department of Aquaculture (BDP)

Developing in the science and application of technology and management practices of environmentally sustainable

aquaculture activities including freshwater, brackish water and marine cultures which consists of fish, aquatic plants and other

aquatic organisms.

3) Department of Marine Science and Technology (ITK)

The development of marine science and technology to understand the marine characteristics, phenomena and physical,

chemical, biological and geological processes using remote sensing and marine acoustics to explore marine resources

and the environment. It has Marine station in Pelabuhan Ratu, Marine laboratory in Ancol, Laboratory Equipment for

oceanography, Marine Biology, Inderaja and Marine Geographic Information System, Instrumentation and Acoustics.

4) Department of Aquatic Products Technology (THP)

The internee eligible for training and field study at various industries that are partners of THP, student exchange and sandwich

with various overseas University that are partners of THP. In addition, the Department owns production unit that can be used

as entrepreneurship training & development of the department’s members.

5) Department of Fisheries Resources Utilization (PSP)

The development of science and technology of sustainable and environmentally- friendly catch-fisheries, covering fish-catching

tools, technology for fishing resources exploitation, fishing vessels and transportation, policy on catch-fisheries, management

of catch-fisheries as well as management of fishing ports.

ADS used to known as ICDF, a partnership program between IPB

and Taiwan in developing agribusiness in Indonesia. A

partnership who lived is coaching and facilitation from ADS to

farmers so that farmers can participate in the supply chain of

modern markets and not merely a business partnership between

suppliers (farmers) and buyers (ADS). Commodities in ADS are

focusing in horticulture like crystal guava, spinach, chili,

asparagus, and many more. ADS doesn’t give salary for

internship program trainee. Student usually take the internship

program at least 3 weeks. Activities: rise seeding, fertilizer and

pesticide making, planting and maintaining, harvesting,

packaging, marketing.

Indonesian Central of Biodiversity and Biotechnology (ICBB)

The Indonesian Center for Biodiversity and Biotechnology

(ICBB) is a member of World Federation of Culture Collection

and Word Data Center for Microorganisms. The center

encourages research, conservation, utilization, policy and

management of Indonesian biodiversity and biological resources.

ICBB is the first non-profit, non-governmental research

organization that engaged in the field of laboratorya nalysis

services. Environmental Laboratory ICBB operating in the fields

of microbiology and chemical analysis services. We can carry

out the analysis of soil, water and biological fertilizers.

Indonesia is recognized as a major center in the world for

biodiversity. Ecological surveys and preliminary inventories

indicate that the country belongs to countries with the highest

level of endemism in the world. With almost 10.000 isolates in

the ICBB-Culture Collection, it became the largest collection of

microorganisms in Indonesia.

Elders Abattoir The abattoir is equipped with modern food processing equipment and pursues “Good

Manufacturing Practices”. HACCP and ISO 9000 certification was awarded by SAI Global in 2008

making this the only abattoir in Indonesia with such standards. Elders unfortunately doesn’t give

BIB Lembang was established in 1975. The Institute is mandated to produce dairy frozen semen

from local cows and import, the aim is that Indonesia is not always dependent on imports of frozen

UD. ARTHA BONSAI (Bonsai Plantation)

There are many places in Batu which doing plant production, but only a few places like UD Artha.

Located on the Bukit Berbunga street no 1, you can see from afar various unique plant in various size, but

most of them are small. UD Artha is running in plant production sector, but their specific production is

bonsai. Bonsai is an ornamental tree grown in a pot and artificially prevented from reaching its normal size.

Students are allowed to do anything what they want to learn in this 1.3 ha area, and don’t miss the chance to

create your own desired bonsai tree. Student will follow all activity, start from puring, reporting, until

marketing. The work consisted of cutting bonsai trees and forming them in the desired shape with metal wires.

It takes a few months minimum before a small bonsai is ready to put on the Indonesian or international market.

antara IAAS LC IPB dengan SDN 2 Carangpulang, kabupaten Bogor, Cikarawang. Kerjasama ini lahir atas dasar masalah sosial

Mengadakan kegiatan 1000 buku untuk perpustakaan pintar SDN Carangpulang 2. Sembari mendonasikan buku, tim Laskar Carangpulang akan mengajak siswa untuk membaca bersama dengan metode mendongeng, dengan harapan kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan minat baca serta perbendaharaan kata para siswa

Cikarawang Project Desa Cikarawang memiliki bahan produksi yang melimpah sebagai daerah yang kaya akan hasil pertaniannya yaitu

singkong, padi, kacang, jambu kristal, ubi, tanaman obat, dan sebagainya. Dengan hasil pertanian yang begitu melimpah desa ini

telah mengembangkan menjadi berbagai home industry yang terbagi pada setiap kelompok tani. Terbukti, singkong yang dipanen

dari koptan pimpinan Pak Ujang telah digunakan oleh PT. Tirta Marta untuk dijadikan plastic ecoplast. Mereka juga telah

memproduksi mocaf yang sudah bersertifikat 80% organik. Desa Cikarawang juga memiliki home industry dengan berbagai

macam produk, diantaranya adalah dodol, kue brownies, rengginang, manisan, donat, keripiki, dan produk lainnya yang terbuat

dari tepung beras. Tetapi tentu saja segala sesuatu tidak bisa terlepas dari permasalahan, terutama dalam sektor home industry.

Cikarawang Project merupakan suatu gagasan yang diusulkan oleh Project IAAS LC IPB untuk mengupayakan pengembangan potensi-potensi yang dimiliki oleh Desa Cikarawang tersebut. Dengan visi untuk menjadikan desa cikarawang sebagai Desa Agrotourism Cikarawang, Project Departemen IAAS LC IPB berusaha untuk mencari solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dialami oleh Desa Cikarawang ini.

BBG Bimbel Belajar Gimawangi

Dalam rangka mengenalkan Gingerangers Project kepada masyarakat sekitar dan dengan tema "Agroeduculture" kami

mencoba menginspirasi siswa SD di desa sehingga kami memutuskan untuk membuka bimbingan belajar kelas 4 & 5 SD di

Gemawang untuk menarik membantu mencerdaskan generasi penerus bangsa dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Kegiatan

BBG dilaksanakan setiap hari sabtu (sebulan 4x pertemuan) mulai pukul 10.00-14.00 WIB di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Jambu

dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Islam. Kegiatan utama BBG ini adalah belajar dan mengajar (bimbel) mata pelajaran bahasa inggris

dan Matematika serta keterampilan dan kesenian yang meliputi pembuatan kerajinan tangan dari barang bekas dan juga latihan

marching band maupun kesenian tari.

Penyuluhan Pembuatan Pupuk Bokasi kepada Kelompok Tani

17 Mei 2015 dilaksanakan Penyuluhan kepada kelompok tani tentang pembuatan pupuk bokasi (bahan organik kaya

nutrisi). Penyuluhan ini diberikan dengan alasan kelompok petani sekitar yang antusias dan untuk menambah wawasan para

petani. Pupuk bokasi dipilih sebagai materi penyuluhan karena lebih baik hasilnya dibandingkan memakai pupuk kandang.

Kegiatan ini dilakukan dirumah tokoh desa gemawang, Bambang Sugoro.

Penyuluhan Pembuatan Produk Olahan Jahe

Setelah berinovasi dalam pembudidayaan jahe, inovasi selanjutnya yang kami targetkan adalah membuat suatu produk

olahan dengan jahe sebagai bahan bakunya sehingga dapat memberikan nilai tambah terhadap produk jahe yang akan dijual.

Produk olahan tersebut kemudian dirumuskan ke dalam produk cokelat jahe yang ternyata menjadi unik karena menggunakan jahe

sebagai jelly yang dibungkus dalam cokelat padat dan diberi label “chocoped’s”. Untuk memperkenalkan produk coklat jahe,

kami memanfaatkan event-event besar seperti pembukaan bazzar/expo. Penyuluhan pembuatan produk olahan jahe ini dilakukan

pada tanggal 7 juni 2015 di rumah ibu-ibu pkk. Lewat penyuluhan ini, diharapkan ibu-ibu dapat menerapkan atau

mengaplikasikan ilmu yang sudah diberikan dan diharapkan dapat membantu kesejahteraan warga desa gemawang.

aksi nyata yang akan dilakukan adalah dengan menerapkan teknologi pengolahan yang telah dipelajari di universitas sebelas

maret seperti pengolahan jambu menjadi minuman fermentasi atau pengolahan lainnya.

Desa kemuning berada di atas ketinggian 900-1500 meter di atas permukaan laut, sehingga banyak tanaman yang tumbuh

subur di atasnya. Di sisi lain, pengalihan lahan perhutanan menjadi lahan pertanian yang sering terjadi belum dapat

ditanggulangi dengan baik. Sehingga sangat dibutuhkan inovasi pengembangan terkait pemeliharaan dan pelestarian lingkungan

desa binaan. Kegiatan yang akan dilakukan di desa kemuning yaitu kegiatan penanaman pohon serta pengaplikasian inovasi

tanam seperti penanaman sayuran di polybag maupun inovasi lain.

Buku merupakan jendela dunia dan merupakan sarana yang sangat penting untuk meningkatkan wawasan, pengetahuan, serta

ilmu yang bermanfaat untuk generasi penerus desa kemuning, sehingga perlu digalakkan kegiatan suka baca untuk meningkatkan

sumber daya manusia serta mencapai semua prestasi yang dicita-citakan. Kegiatan yang akan dilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan

ersebut adalah dengan mencari donasi buku yang bermanfaat sebagai media belajar generasi muda maupun kelompok masyarakat

desa kemuning.

Potensi Sumber daya alam yang melimpah tidak akan termanfaatkan dengan baik bila tidak didukung dengan baiknya

sumber daya manusia, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengajaran terkait hard skill, soft skill maupun kemampuan aplikatif kepada

masyarakat desa kemuning. Di antara kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan di desa kemuning yaitu kegiatan pengajaran kepada

msayarakat desa kemuning, baik berupa kegiatan belajar mengajar rutin kepada generasi muda desa kemuning maupun

pemberian penyuluhan kepada kelompok tani desa kemuning untuk menjadi masyarakat yang lebih maju.

EDUCATION ENVIRONMENT ENTREPRENEUR

Pembuatan Bank Kompos Bajulmati Warga dusun bajulmati mayoritas memiliki profesi sebagai petani dan peternak. Limbah pertanian sisa panen masih belum

dimanfaatkan dengan maksimal. Selain itu terdapat 140 ekor sapi yang dipelihara oleh warga. Limbah kotoran sapi baik yang cair

maupun padat juga belum dimanfaatkan dengan maksimal. Atas dasar itu, tim vcp mengajak warga untuk berpikir dan membuat

sistem yang nantinya dapat berjalan secara kontinyu dalam memanfaatkan limbah organik dari hasil budidaya diwilayah mereka

menjadi olahan yang memiliki nilai lebih dan bermanfaat bagi warga bajulmati. Rencana yang diusulkan oleh tim VCP adalah

manajemen limbah organik terpadu.

Invetarisasi dan pemetaan potensi ekowisata di dusun Bajulmati

tim VCP memiliki rencana untuk mengajak warga setempat untuk bersama menghidupkan dan mengembangkan potensi eco-

tourism di wilayah mereka tinggal. Langkah awal yang ditargetkan oleh tim VCP adalah melakukan inventarisasi secara

menyeluruh terhadap berbagai potensi yang ada dengan bersama dengan warga. Kemudian pemetaan hasil inventarisasi

disosialisasikan kepada warga dan perangkat dusun bajulmati untuk dimusyawarahkan rencana pengembangan berikutnya.

Sebuah sistem yang terintegrasi dengan benar serta kesiapan komponen pendukungnya akan menjadi indikator keberhasilan

pengembangan suatu kawasan wisata yang berbasis eco-tourism. tim VCP akan berusaha untuk mengajak warga untuk mulai

peduli dan meningkatkan kesadaran terhadap lingkungan mereka sendiri serta mulai berbenah untuk meningkatkan daya saing

kawasan bajulmati.

Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) based on education Kawasan dusun bajulmati dan goa cina yang terletak di pesisir selatan indonesia dan berbatasan langsung dengan samudera hindia

merupakan kawasan yang menurut hasil pemetaan BNPB merupakan kawasan zona merah bencana terutama tsunami. Namun

hingga saat ini, masyarakat yang tinggal di zona tersebut, masih kurang mendapat informasi dan sosialiasi mengenai potensi-

potensi bencana alam yang ada disekitar mereka. disini tim VCP berupaya untuk mengadakan pendidikan mengenai bencana alam

serta upaya mitigasi yang dapat diterapkan di wilayah bajulmati dan goa cina.

Melakukan perataan tanah di sekiat TK Harapan, Goa cina, yang akan dibuat kanopi alam di depan TK Harapan yang ditanami

tumbuhan menjalar yaitu Markisa. Membuat kebun mini di samping TK yang akan di tanami tumbuhan hortikultur, seperti cabai,

tomat, dan bawang-bawangan. Kebun tersebut digunakan juga sebagai tempat pembelajaran tentang tumbuhan, yang bisa

dilakukan langsung oleh anak-anak TK yang melakukan kegiatan belajar sambil bermain.

alam agar bisa dikembangkan pada tahun-tahun berikutnya. Mayoritas kegiatan akan dilakukan di luar ruangan (outdoor activity).

Tim entrepreneur memiliki target untuk membuat konsep segala kemungkinan yang dapat dikembangkan untuk kemajuan desa

Bajul Mati dalam lingkup wirausaha. Satu bulan pertama kami pergunakan untuk menggali semua potensi yang memungkinkan

dikembangkan di desa ter sebut, kemudian pada bulan kedua kami menentukan minimal 3 konsep untuk dikembangan menjadi

business plan. Dalam perjalanan bulan ketiga kami mematangkan konsep pertama dan sekaligus business plan dengan cara

modal minimal tapi menjadikan hasil yang maksimal untuk kelangsungan desa tersebut. Pematangan konsep dan pembuatan

business plan untuk bulan keempat dan kelima, setelah semua plan kami matang dan dirasa cukup, kami akan mengajukan semua

hasil analisis dan kemungkinan bisnis yang bisa dijalankan di desa tersebut
