The factory was able to incorporate the engineering on the entire site-built aspect of the project to make the assembly of the building very straight forward. The roof design and entry portico, in combination with the factory components, created a finished product that had no resemblance to typical modular construction. Throughout the process we made a conscience effort to not use any finishes that were considered to be typi-cally used in modular buildings. Examples of this are the tape/textured walls, custom carpeting, slate tile flooring, oak hard-wood fooring, tegular ceiling with parabolic lighting, custom cabinetry with unique hardware, and custom exterior lighting.

Bureau of Reclamation Folsom DamFolsom, CA

This 2160 square foot modular office building was built with (3) standard 12x60 building sections and is being used for a sheriff’s training & locker room. The interior layout was designed for the training room to be next to main entrance lobby, plus have separate entrances to the restrooms & locker room area. The break room was positioned so it can double as a large work space outside the private offices. We also added some closets for additional storage capability. The exterior stucco finish and steel entry porch was incorporated to take away the typical modular building look.

Two buildings of 5,760 and 2,880 sq. ft., respectively, were designed and built for a large office staff to move to an entirely different location, the March Air Reserve Base. This was due to their current office being old, small and originally being designed for different purposes. The March JPA worked with us to design and build two buildings to accommodate their increasing staff and conference needs. The primary building utilizes eight 12’x60’ floors and consists of fourteen private offices, two large conference rooms, a break room, IT rooms, file storage, and a cubicle area. The second building consists of four 12’x60’ floors; its primary purpose in design is for large development meetings consisting of private and government interests.

City of Atwater Atwater, CA

This modular building, consisting of two 36’x60’ sections at-tached in an “L” shape configuration, was part of an expansion project for city services. While the building provides offices for city departments, it is also publicly accessed. Since this is located on city property, it needed to blend with a permanent building that was built in 1968. Placement of the building required consideration of an existing parking lot, handicap ac-cess and a water feature.

2006

Samoan Christian Fellowship Des Moines WA

This 12,488 sq. ft. building was designed to fit into a mixed-use neighborhood with family homes, a large public school and another church/school nearby. Both modular construction (administration/classrooms/foyer) and panelized construction (sanctuary) were used in the process of erecting Samoan Chris-tian Fellowship. The sanctuary was built first, the modular units were crane-set next, and then the roof was erected over the en-tire structure. The administration portion featured 11’ suspend-ed ceilings, while the sanctuary featured 25’ high painted sheet-rock ceilings. The sanctuary also featured a concrete sloped floor in order to allow parishioners to see the stage better.

2005

Shoalwater Bay Wellness Clinic Tokeland, WA

This two-story medical building was designed to blend in with the existing buildings on-campus which included a variety of exterior sidings and color schemes. Due to the fact that the building is sited less than 200 feet from the Pacific Ocean, the clinic had to be engineered and built to meet a 100 mph, Expo-sure D wind-rating. This structure was the most complex build-ing that Pacific Mobile has ever built and features an elevator and lifetime warrantee fiberglass exterior doors (due to the ex-treme rust-conditions common in sea communities).

2005

Seattle Pacific University Seattle, WA

Seattle Pacific University was a two phase project that involved building a 4,000 sq. ft. classroom facility first, then later install-ing a 3,000 sq. ft. classroom facility directly adjacent to the first structure. These structures were designed to match the exist-ing brick buildings which were highly visible. Limiting traffic noise in the classroom was extremely important. Each building included sound-rated windows and metal sound-channels inside the exterior walls. To incorporate audio-visual displays featur-ing manually-operated screens, the facilities were designed so that a portion of each classroom had 10’ ceilings.
