With a background spanning advertising and communications and a client base including top brands in every sector, Dr. David Kippen is a world-renowned leader in brand strategy. Evviva Brands' founder and Chief Strategist, he actively participates in all engagements.
David has worked with category leading brands such as Amazon, Ameriprise Financial, Bain & Co., Burger King, Catholic Healthcare West, Chevron, Coca-Cola, Dell, Disney, Energy Recovery, E.ON HP, HSBC, General Mills, Intel, Kaiser Permanente, Kentz, KLA-Tencor, Lam Research, Marriott, Microsoft, Moss-Adams, Nokia, Premera Blue Cross, Teva, T-Mobile and Xilinx.
He has extensive international research and consulting experience and has held leadership roles in a number of top associations supporting themarketing and communications professions.
David holds a bachelor of arts in English from San
Francisco State University and PhD in English (Rhetoric)
from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He completed his
doctoral work as a Visiting Scholar at the Stanford-UC Berkeley Joint Center
for African Studies.

CateCate Newsom serves as Evviva Brands' Head of Insight. With a background ranging from documentary film to anthro-pology, extensive field research experience, a working knowledge of six languages and cross-cultural experience drawn from living and working in six countries, Cate bringsAn impressive, robust array of skills to every engagement. Cate and her team deliver the primary insights upon which Evviva Brands’ brand strategies are built.
Cate has worked with leading multinational corporations in energy, financial services, consumer packaged goods, management consulting, and technology.
She has master’s degrees in social anthropology and cinemastudies from UvA and NYU, respectively, and a BA from Yale University.
AmoAmo believes that conceptual design can work for
everyone but should be backed up by strong insight.
Amo graduated from the London College of Printing in 1996 with a
B.A. Hons in Graphic and Media Design and started his career at
Conde Nast Publications designing for Vogue, GQ
and World of Interiors.
The internet caught his atten-tion soon after and since
then he has applied a love of typography and print aesthetic to projects for
Depeche Mode, Apple, Casio and o2 to name a few.
In his spare time Amo buys a lot of records, cycles on tarmac and
mud and designs typefaces.
His designs have been used by Casio and the BBC.
He lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Stephen With a background that includes public relations, marketing consulting and more than a decade as the National Creative Director at global agency TMP Worldwide, Stephen Stewart brings an unrivalled combination of game development and advertising marketing experience to his role.
A graduate of Yale University with a degree in English literature, Stephen currently lives in Berkeley, California, with his wife Marin, children Miranda and Arden, and lovable mutt Carmen.
