The Company
The I BAUHeadquarters atRödingsmarkt 35stand on historicalground. Only some300 meters fromhere was the first port of the “Hammaburg”,now called the “Nicolai Fleet”.This is a canalnow, being about1200 years old.
On the subject ofhistory, it might beof interest that the “HamburgischeMark Courant”was the mother of the “Deutsche Mark”,when Germany received a commoncurrency in 1871.This Mark was well known and well acceptedworldwide.

The IBAUHeadquarters aresituated right in the center of theCity of Hamburg,Germany’s biggest port andtrading city.
The IBAU housewas built in 1989and is a successfulsymbiosis of the traditionalstyle and modernday function.
It has receivedawards from boththe BuildingAuthority of theCity of Hamburgand the HamburgSociety ofEngineers andArchitects.

When IBAUHAMBURG wasestablished as anengineering company in 1975,we started with animmediate success,the CENTRALCONE SILO.
At this time therewere only very fewpeople who believed that thistype of silo couldsucceed.
Now, after morethan 25 years ofsuccess, the IBAU CENTRALCONE SILO canrightly claim tohave made a majorimpact on the SiloTechnology relatedto the storage and retrieval ofpowdered mineralbulk products.

Raw Meal Silos
IBAU Raw MealSilos are, in most cases, double purpose silos.
They serve as acombined storageand blending silo.The discharge technique of theIBAU CENTRALCONE SILOsimply creates ablending effect.
Expensive homo-genizing silos with a high powerconsumption are not required, if there is a sufficiently working preblending systemfor crushed lime-stone.

Cement Silos
IBAU CENTRALCONE SILOS – in many differentvarieties – are the most efficientcement silos for storage and dis-patch.
The central cone is used to accom-modate the neces-sary machinery andequipment such as: Blowers, filters,electric controlboards, compres-sors, IBAU Pumps,etc.
Silos with raisedbottom – built asdrive through silos– are favoured,because no inter-mediate transportis required to feedthe packer or the bulk loadingfacilities.

Ship Loaders and Unloaders
Ship loaders andunloaders forvarious kinds ofpulverized bulkgoods are anotherspeciality of theIBAU productrange. They caneither be of the stationary or the mobile type.
IBAU equipment is custom-built tosuit the specificconditions gover-ning each project(i.e. product variety, loadingcapacity, transportdistances and localmarket conditions).Standard parts and equipment arethe main compo-nents of theseunits. They can be powered byDiesel engines orreceive the electricpower from localsources.

Cement Tankers
Among its otheractivities,IBAU HAMBURGspecializes in planning andsupplying theequipment for cement tankers and cement terminals of anyrequired size.
This includes theloading stations,the handling equipment onboard as well asthe distribution terminals.
The scope rangesfrom low-capacity,temporary units to large-size fully computerizedplants.

Equipment for Power Plants
IBAU supplies pneumatic bulkmaterial handlingsystems for modernpower plants withcoal fired boilers.Generally, the bulkgoods handled arefly ash and recycledproducts from the flue gas cleaningsystems.
More than 3 milliontons of desulphogypsum per year are produced inGermany. The different typesof lime for flue gastreatment, the dried“finished product”desulpho gypsum,and, of course, fly ash are conveyed and stored by means of IBAU equipment.
The scope of supplyranges from fly ashconveying systemsof electrostatic precipitators, binsand silos usingIBAU Jet Conveyorsto IBAU Fluidslidesand IBAU Pumps.IBAU Pumps withoil cooler can handlepulverized goodswith temperatures up to 400° C.

Warehouses
Most of the componentsof the equipment arecollated in theIBAU warehouse priorto dispatch.
After being checked, thecomponents go either to the spare parts departmentor are assembled and finally packed for dispatch.
